In watching all the coverage one thing is obvious Canelo is getting more attention regardless of where they are at. Crowds boo Floyd when he speaks..the same crowds venerate Canelo.

In his early days as a fighter he was in PPV King De La Hoya's shadow. It really bothered him as he really believed himself the greatest ever. When they fought Oscar was well beyond his best days yet Floyd acts like he defeated a prime Oscar. Though I do not believe Oscar won. I felt as old Oscar won 4-5 rounds. Floyd says Oscar is jealous of him...yet every chance he gets he hates on him. Making it obvious that his fragile ego is actually jealous of Oscar.

After Marquez put Pac to sleep Floyd thought he no longer had competition. Just as he thought I no longer have to fight Pac a new star was making noise...enter Canelo. All of a sudden he is getting flashbacks he sees some Mexican kid drawing fans. His bubble was burst when Canelo came off his fight card and his ppv numbers were quite dismal.

Floyd began to crack recently as he began to say he was going to KO Canelo. Floyd has never made a declaration like this. This is the same guy who could not finish a fat and slow Marquez. The same guy who looked visibly beaten after the cotto fight. It is more obvious to him that unless he convincingly beats Canelo his career as ppv king is effectively over. The way he attempts to tarnish Oscar demonstrates jealousy and insecurity.

Canelo does not have the same degree of pressure as Floyd because no one is giving him more than a puncher's chance. The kid is demonstrating maturity and humility while Floyd is talking about grabbing ass and finger banging.

Manny no longer wants to fight in Vegas and no other heir apparents are left to be the next King of Vegas other than Canelo. So expect the kid to make a statement in this fight and Floyd to look vulnerable.

People even boo'd Mayweather when he was up against Slick Rick.

Don't put too much emphasis on backing, mexicans are boxings biggest followers, simple as that.

  3. Floyd is in for a rough night. Canelo looks very crisp fast and strong. His confidence is genuine

Its painfully obvious that you're reading too much into this, Floyd is always booed, especially when facing a Mexican fighter, I'm sure he welcomes the boos, his detractors are just as important if not more so than his fans, they pay to see him lose, this is good for Money's pockets...

By the way he says he's going for the knock out which he's said before, if the opportunity presents itself I'm sure he will, Floyd does have pressure but so does Canelo, he has virtually all of Mexico depending on him to win, not to mention the added pressure Oscar has pur on him, in order for him to become a ppv super star he needs to win this fight, so this fight could determine in which way his career will go...

I don't quite know Canelo's game plan but he has to implement counter punching in his game plan if he wants to beat Floyd, relentless pressure isn't his style, he has to swing with Floyd attempting to catch him in exchanges, he has to cut the ring off effectively to get Floyd against the ropes to do some work on the body, and of course a consistent and effective jab, he can't get combo happy and can't reach with his punches like he did against Trout...if this fight goes late and his fatigue shows again he will definitely lose...

Expect Floyd to be light in his feet, lateral movement, turning Canelo, and tying him up if he gets against the ropes or to stop Canelos combination punching, Mayweather will pot shot early, jabs, straights and crosses yp stairs and downstairs attempting to wear Canelo down for the later rounds, where if it goes late Floyd will sit down more on his punches, looping rights, 2-3 punch combos to take the later rounds...

Now out of these two game plans I see Floyd having the best chance of implementing his because he has time and again, can Canelo impose his plan, sure, he's big strong, quick hands and boxing smarts, but it seems he's doing a lot of weight/strength training which may have him lethargic, fatigued late and as usual flat footed...

Floyd UD 9 rounds to 3...which will seem a little closer due to Canelos better workrate for this fight...Floyd will be too mobile, too quick and too accurate and at the top of his defensive game...he's knows Canelo is dangerous and he won't sit still or stay in front of Canelo early in the fight, vintage Floyd performance...

They see how his hands are after fights, and he still gets criticized for not taking a guy out. To them, Floyd is just a guy that they never believe what he says, and someone that they always hope loses.

AS a floyd fan, I think that Floyd will llode next week. I just think Canelo is better than what most people give him credit for. I am not big on canelo, I just think the size and the strength will be too much.

This makes no sense, how has he cracked?

For a start he's been through the exact same with Oscar and Hatton
