Arreola is a KO waiting to happen..... I just have no clue if Wilder is the one to do it. I want to favor Arreola just based on why would I pick on an unkown quantity such as Wilder, when I know Arreola is game and will force a fight. But, Arreola is open for that right hand, and if Wilder punches half as hard as is being billed (which is probably a lot closer to the truth) then it still is bad news for Chris. Id really have to dissect this fight more to make a good call on it, most of me favors Chris, but theres lingering thoughts that Wilder could catch him and stop him (especially if GBP gets a ref that will call it early and not let Chris's gameness to come into play).
It's possible because Wilder's chin doesn't seem great. But Wilder is a completely different style to Mitchell he won't trade in range, he will use his obvious height and reach advantages. I wouldn't rule Wilder out he is much faster and hit's very hard and Arreola is nothing special. Whenever Arreola has stepped up he has been beaten and while Wilder get's criticized for poor technique Arreola is very crude himself.
Wilder still has to prove he has place in the ring with Arreola... He's done nothing worth talking about so far. If he fights Arreola next and Chris comes in the ring in good shape - I think it will be a rude awakening for Wilder's fens.
I'd favour Arreola at this point in time simply because he is the more proven quantity. He can take a punch which is Wilders biggest weapon and we don't know how Wilder will do when taken late into a fight. He may very well gas as he has never been more than 4 rounds.
Yes because world title challenger Chris Arreola is clearly not in the same class as Dustin Nichols, or the feared Harlod Scoiners. Certain people are giving Wilder way too much credit for beating a punchy journeyman who lucked into a world title seven years ago, and has not had a good fight since.
Wilder will end fat boy, if they happen to meet. No fighter with Arreola's defence can last more than 2 rounds with a murderous puncher like Deontay!
