I felt embarassed to see him lose because Arreola is not even that good but it is not like he put in a decent effort like banks, it almost seemed like he got worse. He has learned nothing from his last lost and it is clear he will struggle to ever become a very good fighter. he reverts to the same old practices of dropping his hands and planting his feet he is a knock out waiting to happen. He doesn't even try to cover his head when Chris was punching him, instead he was trying to football tackle him. Of course that might not be a bad strategy in football, or MMA, it is a horrible strategy in boxing because boxers are all trained on how to balance themselves while throwing very hard punches that would make most normal people fall over themselves. Now had he grabbed arreola's arm instead of his waist while pushing his head into his chest he could have saved himself a knockout. Unless he has a rapid turn around like Wlad Klitschko did, I don't think he will ever be very good. it is frankly a shame to boxing that such a incompetent boxer is allowed to compete.

I was questioning how he was even allowed to fight at that level. Now in all fairness he has very little amateur career so these types of losses won't be unexpected but there is a lack of progression here.

Was the easiest money i ever made

It actually went how it played out in my head, first right hand Arreola lands wobbles him and he never recovers

The first right hand was flush though, Mitchell needs a block or something

i think every single boxing fan knew that seth was going to get KO'd.... probably the easiest fight to predict... but even then was a bit embarrassing for boxing in general

I think Seth thought Arreola was washed up and if he landed on him like Bermain did the fight would be in the bag. The 1 / 2 combo Seth threw in the first seconds were solid and fast but they did not phase Arreola one bit and it was all over once the left hook landed.

i knew after the chazz witherspoon fight he was an accident waiting to happen. the banks fight confirmed it....the arreola fight solidified it

bingo... after chazz almost got him outta there. i said right when he fights some one decent hes going to lose.

and with his inexperienced amateur background he was managed a little poorly. banks and arreola had lots of amateur fights. and seth hardley had any. so why not bring him up like they did wilder. seth wasnt ready for these guys.. i kno hes not like super young or anything an he mite not have the time 2 fight tomatoe cans but after the chazz fight u knew he didnt have what it takes. if im not mistaken i think chazz actually has a solid amateur background not like banks or arreola though

I did too, because I've seen fighters soak up punishment and come back. Seth kept getting hit and his situation got worse and worse. His inexperienced truly showed.

    Embarrassing to watch.

What the f is your point?
Blowouts have been happening in boxing - in all weight divs - since it began. It seems you want all fights to be close, nail biters. For that to happen, all sports, not just boxing, would have to be fixed :think

Maybe you had high hopes for Mitchel. Well he's done :dead

Mitchel is just not a top level HW. Few are. And to compare him to Wlad K - in any way - is more embarrassing then SMs loss to Chris :-(

I felt bad seeing Seth get blown out like that even though I predicted it to happen. He made it further than most ex-footballers do, always looked to put on a good show for the fans, and seemed like a good dude. It's going to be awhile before others look at him that way and give him any more respect than being the punchline of a joke, though. I don't think it's Mitchell's fault he got way overhyped.

They'd be a lot better than that. Even at my old age I'd still beat arreola.

No, just better was expected, Arreola wasn't that good, mitchell was able to beat banks, maybe the 2nd fight was fixed who knows, just seems real strange that he got so much worse.

Fair enough. I thought Chris A would win handily but also thought Seth M might have a few moments. He didn't. I haven't seen it, but many here think Banks-Mitchell 2 looked fishy.

Arreola is also not too shabby. His only bad loss was vs Vitali. If he was in better shape he could have beaten a smaller but very skilled Adamek. He was doing well vs BS until getting caught with a big shot early. CA showed lots of courage to keep at it with a busted nose - and for CA that's lots of territory :p - swallowing blood, etc.

It's not like BS stopped him or routed Chris even with that handicap.

yeah chazz was a big time national golden gloves champion....very surprised mitchell beat him. arreola had a solid amateur background too...not sure about banks
