stupidest argument I have ever heard.
You have to beat an ATG to be an ATG?
You act as if they grow on trees and when asked who are these ATG's he did not fight you say Kostya,or Oscar only younger,or younger cotto.
If they were ATG they would have still been great past their prime just as Floyd is still great past his.
Pac is one I agree with, that fight should have happened, and Both guys legacy will be tainted for missing it.

I have to repeat myself because nobody answered the question as to what ATG fighter has Mayweather fought.

Why don't you answer the question from the OP instead of failing badly at trying to be a smart arse.

Way to nitpick. What's next? Floyd hasn't beat any atg who is born on march, vegetarian and with a single mother

The only ATG currently boxing is Bernard Hopkins. That fight can't be made.

You're missing several more actually. And Floyd's career has span 14 years, so he's had more than just now to fight an ATG. In other words; complete fail on your part.

Depends on how loosely you define 'all time great' your clearly someone who uses quite loosely if you believe their are several currently active.

Personally I separate truly exceptional fighters into three different categorizes:

    • Hall-of-famer
    • Great
    • All time great
Hall of famers are either very accomplished often popular boxers who burned very bright for a short period of time (an example being Mike Tyson) or strung together impressive victories and title defences over extended periods (e.g Terry Norris).

Greats are fighters that are first ballot hall-of-famers who fought the best fighters in their era, including fellow hall-of-famers who's rivals were in their prime they can be guys who burned bright for a few years (such as Joe Fraiser) or guys who had long careers and fought the best (such as Julio Cesar Chavez and Tommy Hearns)

All time greats are great fighters who had long accomplished careers and great victories over hall-of-famers and greats. Many ATG's also establish themselves as the best ever in a particular division such as Willie Pep, Roberto Duran, Ray Robinson, Ezzard Charles, Muhammed Ali. Also fighters that have broken records that have stood for years (such as Joe Louis record title defences in one division.)

Anyone watching that fight who was totally unbiased KNOWS that the crooked NY doc, who stopped the Margarito-Cotto II fight , stopped the fight to save Cotto quitting again. Watch Margarito beating his chest & Cotto slinking away to his corner just before the doc saved Cotto's ass. Cotto NEVER beat Margarito politics did

It's no secret Floyd's resume isn't great. Jones Jr. gets a lot of flack for his resume and he has prime James Toney on it. Far greater than.. err... Corrales?
