Firstly I'd like to say that Ricky Burns is out of hospital and is fine, that is the most important thing. Secondly the fight on Saturday night was very exciting mainly due to Ricky's injury (round2) which allowed Beltran to gain a lot of confidence from round 4 onwards,I truly beleive if Ricky never received the injury it would have been a very one sided points win in favour of Ricky, the first three rounds he hit Beltran with many punches but from there on in his injury got progressively worse. Ricky showed tremendous courage in that ring and if he'd have said to me he wanted to quit I'd have had no problem whatsoever doing it,but I know Ricky better than anyone and he wouldn't do that,so massive credit to him for that,I must say though the critisim handed out given what he went through is nothing short of ridiculous. I said in the interview after the fight I though a draw was a fair result, it was a very close fight but after watching the fight several times on tv i feel we were a little fortunate, I personally said to team Beltran that they deserved a rematch and I really hope this will be the case because he deserves it. I'd personally like to thank the many boxers and coaches throughout the country who have wished Ricky well and praised his undoubted courage on Saturday:good:good
a little fortunate lol.a whole lifetimes worth of luck plus other peoples.not your fault billy but the result stunk
Ricky IMO won rounds 1,2,3,6,11 & 12 the knockdown in the 8th made the diffrence there wasn't a lot in the fight, a rematch is the right thing to do
a rematch would be good.but not in glasgow im afraid.beltran couldnt trust again and i wouldnt blame him
No one has questioned Ricky as a person and certainly no one can question his heart and bravery, but he lost, and comfortably so, no two ways about it. People are disgusted by the totally disgraceful decision, it's nothing personal against Ricky himself. What happened on Saturday night was a travesty and is bad for boxing, I know you will stick up for your fighter Billy, I can't blame you for that, but you know yourself it's true.
Billy your the only one in the world that believes this ****. The whole boxing community is up in the air about the result , please don't make yourself look silly trying to defend something that can't be defended.
Hahahaha Mate he won the first... that was the only clear round. By the 7th I had Beltran up 4 rounds to 2, and from there it got worse. Oh and the constant holding, do you think if Beltran was doing that **** he would of got away with it round after round without even getting warned... lol The judges stunk, the ref stunk, and the attitudes of every ****er involved stunk after the fight. Only people who came across level headed and truthful was Beltran's team... all in all it was a ****ing disgrace for British boxing. Give the guy a rematch if he can be arsed going back to Scotland again that is. Can you blame him if he told ya to shove it up ya ass though ? I wouldn't blame him.
The person we should really feel sorry for in all this is Beltran, years of hard work, doing thing the hard way, nothing ever handed to him on a plate and then finally gets his shot only to get robbed blind. I hate this sport sometimes.
Hahahaha @ giving him round 3... just wacked that round on for a laugh, no ****ing way did Burns win round 3, one of his worse rounds. haha :hi:
ur not considering The amount of points ricky should have been Deducted for constantly holding on ,most big names in boxing have Said ricky didn't deserve a draw ,he clearly lost
