LMAO @ being a rich coward. I told you people here don't know hyperbole. I just assumed it was Pinoys who didn't get it but wow.

Maybe you don't distinquish wife beating from mortgage fraud or getting jail time from getting probation but I think there's a hell of a difference between the two.

That said, I'm not a huge fan of Chael and I think it's a disgrace that he can simply talk his way into title fights.

    1. You have no inside info on any of Floyd's decision making, but if Showtime can force his hand in fighting the fights we all want to see, we fans are winning.

    2. Floyd makes the Forbes list without any sponsorship money, and he is the only one who can do it that way... This is a win for him. Why dont more boxers use the same business deal he does?

    3. Floyd pays GBP a fee to promote fights. They dont get the usual percentage of the purse a promoter usually gets from his fighters, they get less. Another win for Floyd.

    4. You are not qualified to speak on either fighter's purse after the fight. You dont know what their PPV cut is. You dont know how much goes to the promoters, the managers, the trainers, the sparring partners...

    5. Lots of fighters have '0' on their records. They dont seem to have the appeal Floyd does. Nevertheless, if his resume is his appeal, then I guess its another win for Floyd.

You gave Floyd so many Ws Im left thinking you are his biggest fan on this site.

Are they not both 'criminal activity', which is what YOU stated the so-called difference between two was supposed to be?

    What's your point? Floyd's a wife beater, Chael's a con artist.

One is committing violence against a woman you supposedly loved at one time and promised to protect.

Do you honestly think a company is going to want to associate itself with a convicted wife beater?

can you not distiquish the difference? Surely you're not that dense.

Obvious the judges were able to.

ggg/macklin did 1.1 million views, the same as canelo/trout.

    http://www.boxingnews24.com/2013/07/golovkin-macklin-draws-1-1-million-viewers-on-hbo/

does this mean that ggg is a star?

I am a FMJ hater, I cannot stand him.

    I agree : great post.

However I think #5 is overstated. I have to admit his skills appeal to many. And he is the best.

And you have to give him another thing. He is getting older and fighting a bigger, younger, talented, hungry fighter. Kudos for that.

Correct. Both are 'criminal activity'. That was your line of demarcation, not mine. Just admit you got caught out over your skis a bit and you really meant something else. If not, live up to the criteria YOU set.

    Depends.

HBO doesn't seem to have a problem allowing Jim Lampley to continue to serve as its lead boxing guy. Hell, they even gave him his fight show AFTER his domestic violence plea deal.

And that would be the same Jim Lampley that just loves to moralistically isht on Floyd Mayweather every chance he gets.

And Charlie Sheen been beating women arses for the last 20 years, and folks are lining up to give him endorsement money.

I used to think this too, but then you have to consider he does need security. Guys worth 100+ Million, risk of being kidnapped is brutal.

Successful business owners who nobody knows are kidnapped and held for ransom on a regular basis. It's no coincidence Floyd takes care of his "team", otherwise any of them would get jealous and start foiling their evil plan.

So why hasnt HBO fired Lampley then?:patsch I love how people stick their foot in their mouth.:-(

It sounds more like a person dislike on your part than anything else.

EDIT: Sweet Jones already beat me to it!:good

Though he does need the Golden Boy banner, he is not a Golden Boy fighter and Oscar is not his boss.
