Yet he's only lost 1 fight at HW and that was against a Klitschko. I love it because there was a poll when Mitchell was the official hype job of ESB and the majority picked Mitchell would obliterate Adamek. Then, Mitchell gets KO'd by 2 of Adamek's scraps. He is by far the most active top HW and faces any range of fighters from extremely tall to extremely fast. Everyone picks Fury over him even though both beat Cunningham but Fury ate the canvas and Adamek did not. I'm tired of the hype trains against Adamek. The fact is that Adamek is severely underrated and chances are that he should be the favorite going into nearly every fight besides facing a Klitschko or Haye.
Adamek is a a good B+ fighter at BEST. It's as simple as that. He's a good fighter, but had no business being in the same ring with Vitali. He doesn't always fight the best because he's at the tail end of his career, and is just making 'good' fights to cash him. Good luck to him with that, and I respect him because he isn't out there calling out half the division - But for some reason, some of his fans look at him as a Number 3 Heavyweight :S
:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl And Marco Huck beat Arslan/Lebedev. You might aswell throw in Burns beating Beltran in there.
he's 175 lbs fighter who's achieved far more than he was supposed to i also love reading the same every time Adamek's opponent is announced: Arreola will kill Adamek, Grant will KTFO Adamek, and so on, and later seeing the same klutzes make excuses btw, I am an Adamek fan, yet I have no problem admitting he lost a close, but clear decision to Cunningham in the rematch
I give Adamek a lot of ****, as damian38 will attest to... But it's all in fun. I have mad respect for the guy, although I think he may be overrated a bit sometimes. But no one can deny his willingness to stay active. Even if it mean getting rocked by Nagy fcuking Aquilera! atsch
power punches landed: adamek 120 cunn 80 sorry, but you don't win fight by throwing pony jab and run, unless its a pony jab slapping contest
He was starving himself to make 175, and that was before he grew into his body structure. Also read somewhere he was entering the ring weighing close to 200 on fightnight. If anything he was a weight drained CW fighting at LHW that last year. And if this were 1985, he'd be an average sized HW.:think But props to Adamek for continually winning when the odds have certainly been against him. He's paid his dues in the game and should be a first ballot HOFer and should get a mention in ATG talk in the coming years.:think
Other than getting beaten around and embarrassed by Vitali, Adamek has looked good at HW. and his resume is better than most contenders out there. Adamek deserves not slack, some of his fans may be annoying but he is will to step in with pretty much anybody. thats a rarity in today's HW division. maybe he'll shock us again by beating Glaskov.
Adamek is awesome, considering how past his best he is, and that hes competing well above his ideal weight against guys naturally much larger then him. Really, in all honesty I don't think he gets enough credit. That being said however, its not hard to see why he is often picked against when pitted against the top contenders, and I don't feel its all that unfair. I don't really rate him as a heavyweight, but I do think that what hes done in the division is impressive given hes past his best, above his ideal weight, and the style he fights with.
One of the most underated guys in boxing. Most of the hate seems to come from bitter Americans though who, for whatever reason, can't stand the fact that the top division is ruled by Europeans. Ironic that they insult Adamek and his boxing ability when their top heavyweight is Deontay Wilder who got knocked down by two fat slobs in Dustin Nicholls and Harold Sconiers.
For his age and being a career 175'er, I find him just a bit impressive even though he'll never be a top top heavy, it seems he has no business being in there with super heavies but he almost always finds a way to win, which is impressive in itself considering he always looks like he's one solid punch away from getting put down.
