Burns up for rematch

Discussion in 'British Boxing Forum' started by Mufc30, Sep 9, 2013.

  1. You need to turn the ****ing volume down on that biased nonsense Jim Watt and the other plum was waffling.

No ****ing way did Burns win that many rounds.

Should of been deducted a point for holding too. Know for a fact if it was Beltran holding like that he would of got one deducted.

How do you know for a fact?

  3. Because I know how crooked boxing works, especially in the UK and doesn't matter how you dress it up, the other night was crooked as ****.

Doesn't matter how much you try and cover ass and make out it was closer than what it was. The fight fans have voiced their opinion and it's nothing against Burns, he fought on bravely... but for Beltran to not get the nod was ****ing shocking and did nothing for fighters taking on future fights in the UK and especially big name fighters who don't need the cash, you know like Ward... just gives them all the excuses in the world. But hey who can blame him when **** like that goes on the other night.

In my opinion Beltran should have the belt....BUT I am quite prepared to accept that the injury impaired Ricky's performance. The result was close enough for me to believe that a fully fit Burns could have won,re match ASAP.

Why do people speak about the injury as if it was a act of god or somehow not related to the fight ? Beltran hit Ricky and broke his jaw, ffs stop speaking as if it was unlucky for Burns to sustain the injury and if he hadn't blah blah blah blah....... He did and he should have lost the fight.

Yes well done to Rick fighting on showing a warriors heart, braveheart ra ra ra and all the other cliches people come out with... but facts remain he should have lost close or not he should have lost. A rematch in Scotland... I would tell them to blow it up their arse.

Easy to be up for a fight you know your management will avoid like the plague.

He should, but really not in Schotland.
Beltran would be wise not to take it if Burns wants to hold it there.

This was one of those fights in wich absolutely nobody scored it for Burns except one crooked judge.
A close fight can still be a massive robbery if one fighter won at least 6 rounds including a KD, because there's no way to lose or draw afterwards (without points deductions) if the fight is scored fairly.
There were a couple of close rounds that could go either way, but if they were all scored for Burns if you have a 114-113 score (wich still is a loss).

Well since it makes absolutely no financial sense for the rematch to take place in the States, and Burns would still have got the nod in London, where do you suggest the fight should happen?
Burns and Billy know they got very lucky on Saturday. How many people who got gift decisions have come out and said,"I'll admit it.It was a robbery.I'll go and fight in an empty arena in America for no money just to put things right"?
Not one person posting here would do it,so why should Burns?
Some people who are justifiably angry about the result should channel their energy into learning how the business side of boxing works.

We know how the business side of boxing works. It allowes so called "Champions" to constantly fight in their backyards because fighting in the challenger's or another country "makes no financial sense".
The way boxing works in general is when
That's why I think Beltran shouldn't take it because he'll get screwed all over again.

No,there are people admitting in these threads they have no idea how things work.
But I ask again, where should the fight take place allowing for the fact that both fighters will require payment?

Why does Burns deserve the same sort of pay cheque as last time? He was clearly beaten and should be willing to accept a cut in order to do the right thing and settle the fight in a fair location.

Man,you really don't know how the sport works do you?
    What are you? 12?

I've seen you talk drivel just in the last hour but it's only taken a few posts for me to show how clueless you really are.
Burns got a disgraceful gift on Saturday, but when you have such a limited knowledge of how the sport works, even the people who are angry about it have just seen that you really have no business commenting on it.

And thanks for that last post. You can't buy the sort of laughter it gave me and I'm sure a few others.

So you don't argue the point, instead you make a rubbish post.

    Well done sir.

Maybe Bradley should fight Pacquaio in Greenland for $100 while we're at it.
