I agree 100% part of that thought is a jab which canelo clearly has trust me its frustrating when someone jabs with you.... All you can think of is how to counter it..

He's definitely no Guerrero. Unless Floyd hits Canelo with a shot that ko's him or has him reeling for the rest of the fight, Alvarez is going to bring the best out of Floyd. What I haven't heard mentioned much is the fact that Canelo is 2 fisted and has legitimate power in both hands; along with very underrated speed. He also sets up his punches really well (feints, jabs etc). I can see Canelo catching Floyd with a well timed right hand that might change the fight. Canelo's ability to throw the right hand effectively should make this an interesting fight.

I still pick Floyd 2 win, but Canelo shouldn't be underestimated.

What you fail to realize is that Pac or Margo would never throw 100 punches a round against PBF. I mean how hard can it be to understand that basic point? PBF lowers people's output, he's not there to be hit you're not going to just open up on a guy like him and get off a 100 punches a round. It's not that easy you would miss and be countered to death and for you to make such ridiculous statement shows a lack of overall boxing knowledge. Hell Pac's output goes down against JMM and Bradley WTF do you think it would go down to against PBF?:deal

Oh ofcourse... just like during the guerrero fight roger was quoted as saying 'if you can't hit floyd with a jab you aint hittin him with nothing'.. Its no mystery two fighters to trouble floyd are cotto and de la hoya.. both of which have converted there stance.. which means having there strongest hand to jab with...

Canelo will test floyd for sure, but not because of his size, speed power... but because he's a very smart fighter for 23... in the end though i think canelos fitness and floyds experience will be the deciding factor. Canelo needs to start fast too, iv noticed he starts very slowly. You can't gift floyd any rounds

Guerrero is overrated though, he isn't on the same level as a Prime Margarito, Prime Pacquiao or even a post prime Cotto....

To prove it, just look at the Berto fight, people made Guerrero a monster because he defeated Berto but look at what Jose Sotto Karraz just did to Berto, KO'd him... So... ehh... yeah, Guerrero never had a chance...

I'm not saying he is. as i said he's no pac... my point is people seem to have this belief that walking forward and throwing over 1000 punches beats floyd lol :S it's stupid, that plays into his hands.

I concur. One thing Canelo does have that both Cotto and De La Hoya didn't is a legitimate right hand. Although, Marquez was thoroughly outclassed for most of his fight with Floyd he was still able to occasionally hit him with well set up right hands. Mosley, as seen in the 2nd round with Floyd, was able to do so also.

Aye, i see this being a very close fight.. like i say i just see floyd taking the later rounds and its upto canelo to start fast and get some rounds quickly, the problem being floyd isn't stupid and doesn't give rounds away easily.

I think you guys are underestimating Mayweather's bike. He gets on that bike ands starts potshotting and there will be nothing Canelo could do, he doesn't have the stamina to keep up, especially with those 2 extra pounds he has to lose. I hope Canelo finds a way to work the body early, hopefully slowing Floyd down a little, but I doubt it.

Well see. I think Canelo will be in shock as soon as he figures out that guys like Trout, Matthew Hatton and Cotto's brother are not top competition and it'll be too late and deep in the fight for him to try to adapt and do better against a Floyd caliber fighter who's done it and seen it all. Plus Canelo tries to mimic Floyd. I think he's going to get out classed like mostly all of Floyd's opponents.

I dont know why people cant understand this. Pac looks great against stationary fighters then looks like **** against moving targets. Go figure.

There you go that's PBF's trump card, the ace up his sleeve that he can play at anytime. If he feels like he can't deal with Canelo he will simply get on his bike and score points and skate to a win like that. And there's nothing Canelo can do to stop it. The Guerrero fight showed me that PBF's legs are still there. I know that he can still stick and move on his bike if need be and there's not a boxer in the world 154 and down that can beat him if he does that.:deal
