Canelo's stamina is ruined (like Margarito/MAB was) cause he left high-altitude early

maybe it was Floyd that wanted Canelo to come down from high altitude prematurely.

It was probably in a non-disclosed contract.

They mentioned this in the Espn Spanish language boxing show. Chavez senior commented that he thought Canelo left the high altitude too soon.

Canelo already has stamina issues, are they saying he woukd be normal and not gain any benefits from training. Or are they saying he will be hurt and have worse stamina then normal?

I believe it trains your lung capacity... Not sure how so ...

I heard a trainer. Tell me something similar but to what 8 said before he was like of your not fighting in a high altitude it makes no sense .

I've never heard that this will have a negative effect, just that he will lose all of the advantages he gained while training in high altitude because 2 weeks is enough for the body to adapt to the low altitude conditions. Just Google that ****.

It's harder to breathe high up, your body adapts to the thin air improving your lung capacity I believe.

Theres a whole bunch of reasons to train in high altitudes... just google it. Iv no idea though, on this theory of leaving too early etc... can somebody explain? How would it have any effect?

One thing i think boxers mis-understand is boxing is a anaerobic sport.. this means that altitude training isn't going to be all that great for 'endurance' in boxing.. it's more for a long distance runner or something.

thats some pretty good insight. Canelo better hope he still has some benefits of that high alt training come sat even if its not the full benefits, cause if that stamina issue presents itself too early, he is gonna have a rough now. You gotta have stamina to match floyd in the later rounds so he cant just coast easy.
