Does anyone know why he committed suicide I ask this because he had arranged a meeting with Gary Lockett and was on his way to a meeting that morning.

I have yet to read a newspaper report on this incident, here in the US.Could it have been an accident or was it definetly suicide, and if so was Mr. Powell having money or personal relationships problems that anyone knows of?
Just curious.A sad and horrific end to be sure.RIP.

It could be a number of reason why this happened im not convinced he was suffering from depression he always seemed a happy chappy with a smile and a permanent tan.maybe some shocking revelation's were to surface and this was just the way he dealt with it..all I know he was a likeable guy and had the upmost respect from boxers.RIP

I think what shocked me & reading the other posts regardless of your own view should what is being written about the circumstances behind his death is true.

British boxing has lost a real mainstay of the game employed by W***** the fact he worked in different roles under all the major promoters must tell you all you need to know about the man.

Respected inside the game & outside by the fans whatever the circumstances thoughts are with his family sure Ringside & the upcoming shows show the respect his services to British boxing deserve.

It happened at New Cross Gate station yesterday morning.

There's a article floating around on twitter now. I won't post it here cos i've been banned in past so will leave you lads to search.

I must say i noticed Dean was ill and missed a few shows. It's a terrible way to pass and just thinking of his family and friends. Tragic stuff..
