golovkin vs mayweather would be boring as hell. floyd would run all over the ring and lose a UD for his troubles

Not at 154, where Floyd has a belt and is trying to be The Man (+/- 2lbs). GGG offered to drop down to 154.
The funny thing is FLoyd isn't really even a Welterweight. He walks around at around 155 lbs, so it's quite conceivable the guy could could still make 135 and definitely make 140. even his Uncle states FLoyd is really a natural Junior Welterweight at this stage of his career, he only went up to WW to get the big name fights he craved since he was a young fighter and not getting the big money fights he thought he deserved. The only guy I think he'd fight at MW is Sergio Martinez, which makes the most sense as they're very close in age and he'd have the chance to take his lineal championship at MW. Golovkin poses too much of a risk, the guy is in his prime and is a very powerful puncher. He probably would have no issues campaigning at SMW and be very successful in that division. Floyd started out at Super Featherweight. There's no reason for a guy with such a small frame to fight guys at MW who'll come into fight night at 175-180 lbs. I know people want to see Floyd lose, but that's just ridiculous. A fight with Martinez COULD possibly happen if Sergio can win his last 2 fights under his HBO contract and than becomes a free agent and still has his Ring Magazine title. Floyd would stand to gain so much from that fight on a legacy level, it could catapult him into the top 10 P4P all time with a win over the recognized lineal MW champion.
Man that's a lot of crying and misinformation here. 1. Floyd is a 2x SWW champ, trying to be lineal 2. Nobody is asking him to go to 160. both Sergio and GGG said they'd drop down and challenge for his belts at 154 3. DLH started at 130. JMM started at 126, and is willing to fight top comp in his 5th division, etc. 4. Floyd failed to hit the 144lb contract weight for JMM. That makes him not a JWW anymore ...
Who's crying? I was just trying to make an informative post. FLoyd didn't stay at 140 for long because no one had any interest in fighting him. Let's get real. Arum didnt look too keen to put Cotto in the ring with him after FLoyd battered up Arturo Gatti. Hitman just beat Tszyu for his title, so Kosta was off the table even though FLoyd lobbied for that fight while he was campaigning at 135. Anyway, Floyd wanted the bigger fights at 47 and wanted to take on the lineal WW champ in Judah who had just lost it to Baldomir. He ended up fighting both of those guys and than finally got his big payday against DLH. So you want to talk about the JMM fight where Floyd came overweight? Cool, but put it in proper context, Floyd was out of the boxing game for approximately 23 months before that fight. If you do the math, that's about 2 years, so it's conceivable that it was hard for a guy who was essentially retired for a couple YEARS to make the weight. And you're right, no one is forcing Floyd to go up to 160. But why fight either one of those guys at 154? What does he stand to gain from that in comparison to fighting them at 160 or at a catchweight of about 157-158 for Maravilla's MW title? Remember now, he's the P4P king and can dictate such terms, I'm sure Martinez would love to fight FLoyd like he's lobbied for it for almost 3 years now and wouldn't have a problem giving up a few pounds and fighting him for his lineal MW title. ggg would have a hard time making 154. i still think canelo would beat ggg at 154, imo he would have a better chance against ggg because 154 is a better weight for canelo than it would be for mayweather. depending on how mayweather looks on saturday i'm pretty sure he could beat ggg as well.
