I think it's going to make Canelo sluggish. He may have 1 or 2 early rounds but I have a feeling Mayweather's tactic will be effective.

Canelo always fights weightdrained, so I don't think those 2 extra lbs are going to bother him that much extra compared to his other fights.

he's proven before that draining himself isn't a problem for him, it will take it's toll later in his career, but as of right now, it won't bother him

well his team should have refused the stipulation simple, its not as if canelo is running out of time for this fight and if he waited, the older mayweather got he would have been increasing his own chances to win

im no fan of catchweights, but he weighed 153.5 for Trout so im hoping the extra wont detract from the fight too much.

Cotto didn't offer to drop weight against Pacquiao. Canelo did offer against Mayweather.

Nope. He made the fight for the fans. And didn't ***** about it. Floyd clearly is the ***** here. But we don't know how it will affect Canelo. The younger you are, the easier it is to regain energy after cutting weight. You don't want it to affect your routine, and also your level of excersize in the days before a fight. FMJ probably won't be doing too much hard exercise at this point. Whereas Canelo might have to do cardio tomorrow to keep his weight down. But again, the younger you are, the quicker you can recover from that type of workout and still gain your energy back. It could potentially be an advantage or a disadvantage. He can't let it affect his preparation. If he easily makes 152, that would be very impressive.
