He was quoted as saying in a recent interview with TRU. He has even thought about it himself but decided against it. Which group do you think Bradley thinks Maroidquez falls under?
Id say Bradley is one of the more virtuous boxers around, and his estimation is probably not too far from the truth. All the Tour d France riders said the sport was replete with dopers and they were right, too many boxers are commenting on the use of PEDS for it not to be a real issue. As for Marquez, working with a proven doper, his funny particulars when it comes to testing...hes probably the most obvious culprit - but hey if not then all respect to the guy - I know I'd hate to have the finger pointed if I was clean and all success was attributed to hard work...dedication..
He's probably on PEDs himself. they all are. Since the mid 80's. started with contact sports then spread.
Under the same group he himself is in probably :yep Testing in boxing is so bad it's not even funny. And being able to be off the grid for many months or even over a year gives them so much time to take whatever they want and when finally back again be clean as a whistle. The Alain Bernard (swimmer) trick.
I'm guessing that's why Mayweather faked the retirement. He was on PEDs for the Hatton fight and wanted to clean out his system afterwards to come clean as a whistle.
Of all boxers, maybe 50% to 60% is about right. At the elite level - world title contestants, ranked contenders etc. - the percentage is probably a lot higher.
He's likely on them himself. As are most top level boxers in one form or another. Thats just how it is in sports today, period... boxing is not an exception.
Who cares - for all any of us know that percent is 1%. Who gives a **** what anybody 'estimates'. Where are the stats?
99.9% of all professional athletes, fitness models, bodybuilders (supposedly natural or not) or anyone that makes their living of their physique or athletic prowess is on PEDs. To think otherwise is pretty much the same as believing in santa or the tooth fairy. Seeing how amazingly easy it is to pass any drug testing (including olympic style) its sheer insanity to think athletes would not use them based on "good ethics" People only get caught if they mis time their usage or take a risk on a unknown compound (or what they are taking is not what they think it is) Hence i do not see the problem with PEDs as its just a level playing field.
Marquez is on something. But he doesn't know what he's on... in the back of his mind and when he hired his S&C coach he knew he'd be getting something. It's not discussed though... doesn't make the fact less true though. Pac has probaly had something from Ariza... Also Khan - although Khan likes to think he's always been clean how could he control what Ariza has fed him? Same goes for Marquez... possibly Mayweather at some point. Peterson shows how sly even some of the least suspects are....this clutz who isn't even educated on PEDS managed to find a hole in testing so he could up his testosterone levels for even a 'slight' advantage.. shame he was too dumb to realise VADA or USADA? don't allow the ratio he had. Need lots of money and advanced blood testing which is ahead of the 'drug dealers' to remove this problem...
Most guys dont know they are even on roids, that's the S&C that handles that. Vargas for instance when he was on roids for Hoya, didn't even know. Mosley is one of those guys who clearly knew. Back in the day, they had GNC products that had stuff in it that had a similar affect. Most of the top guys are on roids, I am totally convinced of that.
