What if Canelo intentionally weighs in at 153 and refused to re-scale?

What if Canelo intentionally weighs in at 153, just to **** of FMJ and see how TMT reacts? What if TMT demands Canelo re-weighs until he makes 152. But what if Canelo refuses and laughs at them and starts talking to FMJ in Espanol?

What if Canelo carried a sign that says "Light Middleweight Limit : 154 lbs" shows it to the crowd, then hands it to FMJ?
    :D

I don't see canelo doing that. He seems like a Professional and for his biggest fight he will come in well trained and make weight. If anything it looks like Floyd's antics have gotten under Canelos skin. canelo will be looking to punish Floyd, he's more of a take action guy then talker. This is probably what Floyd wants, get under the kids skin, make him angry and off his game plan. Canelo seems like a composed calm fighter, but canelo is fired up to get at Floyd.

There is a 7 figure per lb. weight penalty. No one is saying how much it is exactly, but it's well over a million. If Canelo comes in over 152, he'll just have to pay the penalty. All indications though are that Alvarez has no plans to come in overweight.

He'd be an idiot to lose a million dollars for 1lb !

Assuming the money goes to Mayweather, I guess Floyd will be hoping he does.

It's just so hilariously desperate of FMJ to implement such an unusual catchweight within a weight class, where both guys hold belts, so there is a 7 figure penalty for Canelo going 1 lb over. And no, it's not the same as Mayweather Marquez, Marquez was fighting below 135.

I'm looking forward to a great fight, but regardless of what happens, it's such a ***** move by Floyd, who prances around boasting how he's the best ever yet can't even fight a guy straight up. He has to pull some chizz 'n take shortcuts. The fans would have respected Floyd more if he wouldn't have pulled some BS like this. But to be honest, I respect Canelo so much more for doing whatever Floyd bitched at just to make the fight for the fans. As a neutral fan, it's hard not to root for Canelo.

He's never asked for a CW in any other fight. Regardless, there's always some sore of excuse.

because he is a profesional and won't do it? if I were Canelo, and it were possible without harming myself, I'd drop to 151 just to **** Floyd off and show that the catchweight clause wasn't an issue for me

I do wish Canelo would come in at 154 and give Floyd a taste of the Marquez situation. Mayweather would still fight him, take his money, and there would be zero excuses from anyone after Mayweather wins. Not to mention the added drama and attraction after the weigh in.

He'll pay the fine and he'd rather fight feeling his best. If he wins or is competitive he'll have quite a few more million dollar paydays in his life. I believe his team is totally willing to lose some money in order to come in his best fight night.
