    1. There are always rumors during fight week. Boxing is full of drama like a bunch of teenage girls.

    2. The catchweight was a ***** move by Floyd. If this brings attention to it, then fine.

Canelo looks like his skin is about to turn inside out. He looks drained.
This was a ***** move, but this is what Canelo gets for having so many of his dog**** fights force fed to me (Jose Miguel, Baldomir, Cotto, Lopez, Gomez, Cintron) lol.

Yeah, I am frankly surprised how many people actually think that he will be comfortable at this weight. That is a joke. He is struggling, he's said it himself, various interviews with sparring partners and boxing media outlets have attested to him training late into his camp in his sweat suit. He was 175 solid when he started the camp, he lost muscle mass.

This by now means is an attempt to dissuade his supporters as much as it is a reality check. No one feels good weight drained. A catch weight almost never favors the heavier fighter. This is just the way it is.

He's an underdog, and all this, "You will be surprised by his speed, Etc." Bull****. He's never been blindingly fast. He's never been fast for his weight or any other weight. He's the underdog, it's his f*cking job to surprise me. It's his job to beat the odds. And make no mistake, he is in there with a better, smarter, faster, more experienced boxer. He's weight-drained, and on the biggest stage of his career. He is totally out of his element, and to paint it any other way is disingenuous and silly.

Let's just enjoy it for what it is, a good match up, with a clear underdog with a good chance.

Of course he is having trouble cutting that last two pounds. Why do you think they demanded the catchweigh in the first place. Mayweather will not take a fight unless he can manipulate everything to his advantage.

do you have a link where canelo, as you say, said the "he was struggling" with the weight?

as for his "sweat suit" i am sure that danny garcia is in one right now.

by the way, do you have any links to this "sweatsuit late into his camp"accusation?

    of course not.

because like many people here you talk out of your ass because you have shi-t coming out of your rmouth.

fact 1. canelo has never failed to make the 30 day or the seven day limit in his entire career.

fact 2. canelo was two pounds lighter at the seven day for floyd as he was for trout...for which he weighed in a 153.

fact 3. canelo has never been caught for using diuretics(chavez jr.)

fact 4. chavez jr, a bigger weight cutter than canelo, recently weighed in at 158 for sergio, two pounds under the limit and there was never, ever any excuse from him or his camp that the weight affected his perfomance.

fact 5. lara, kirkland and angulo routinely weigh-in at 172+(more than canelo) on fight night and neither one of these three have been accused of having bad weight cuts.

so while i am here providing facts you are providing heresay and garbage.

canelo will weigh in at 152 or 153 and physically look no different than he did on the scales of the austin trout fight.

finally, provide links for your accustaions or....

    STFU.

Canelo could only manage to boil down to 151.8 vs Matthew Hatton and that was 2.5 years ago. Since then he has bulked up so that tells me that Canelo must be having a torrid time making 152 even though I know he will have trained harder for this fight.

Quincy: What is your problem? Why are you so insulted? I was simply stating that Canelo is the underdog, and he is. Attempting to paint it any other way is absurd. Making 152 is hard. He said it himself in interviews at the MGM arrival that were links on the ESB home page. James Gogey Said himself (he was at both camps) that his weight was tough to take off and that he was solid when he started.

I don't need to provide links for **** because my argument wasn't implying that he couldn't make weight, but that making weight, being the underdog, fighting quality opposition, and still having to make a lower weight than he's used to were all barriers standing in the way of his success.

I even said in my post, this is not for the purpose of dissuading Alvarez supporters, as much as it is a call for logical, rational discourse on the subject at hand.

Catch weights almost never favor the heavier opponent. That's a reality that people keep forgetting while they are wrapped up in the media hype.

Also, for a guy with as many posts as you, why do you sound like such a jerk? You're talking all kinds of **** to me for no reason.

Grow up man, seriously. Discuss stuff like the educated, passionate boxing fan I'm sure you can be, or simply don't engage me. I don't need to waste my time with nonsense like this. :bart

I hope he comes in at 154. With that said if he's having problems he should move up to 160 after this fight. The guy is already packing on 20 pounds on fight night anyway, move up to 160 and he won't struggle.

you are qouting canelo yet you have no link. you are stating that he is having trouble making weight.

your opinion on how canelo will perform is fine but making up qoutes out of heresay wihtout links or references is what is nonsense.

Quincy, Let it go, you're being irrational. You know damn well that regardless of how Canelo looks to you, he is having a hard time making that weight. He said it. Saul said it at the MGM Grand in the post presser interview. It's on the front page. James Gogey said it, listen to this past Sunday's weekend wrap, but more importantly, it doesn't matter, whether he had a hard time or not, or whether he perceives it as hard or not is neither here nor there, being at a catch weight is always a handicap. That's just what it is.
