First off I think catchweights are just gay and should not ever be for any legitimate title. You want a mother****er's 154lb belt, you should have to fight him at a weight limit of 154.

I also think even accepting a fight at a catchweight is a total ***** move on the part of Floyd after all the **** he talked about not doing that in the lead-up to the Cotto fight. I know Canelo's team offered to come down, but it doesn't matter. Floyd should have stayed true to his word and he loses quite a bit of respect from me for not doing so (not that it counts for much as I don't even know the mother****er).

However, if you believe that Floyd should get no credit for this fight due to Canelo having to come in 2lbs lighter than the JMW limit then you must also believe that Pacquiao should get no credit whatsoever for his wins over DLH, Cotto and Margarito. Otherwise, you're just a ****ing hypocrite.

Fanboy bickering at its finest, this whole catch weight thing.

I've long said that Cotto is one of Pacquiao's very best victories. That wouldn't be the case if I held catch weights at the horrible, demon-like standards that most posters do whenever it fits their agenda. Would it have been better at 147? Sure. Would it have made it legendary? No.

    Same thing with this fight.

How are we, the fans, the hypocrites?

Mayweather is the one saying catchweight fights get no credit. He's eating his own words :lol: The fan are merely turning the script on him. There's only one hypocrite here.

And in doing so, you're validating what he said, dumbass... Only you think it should just apply to his catchweight fight, which makes you a hypocrite in addition to being a dumbass. :deal

Not really dumbass. We are making the hypocrite eat his own words. No one is validating anything except enjoying Mayweather look like a hypocrite dumbass. :deal

I've called him a hypocrite several times, and you can enjoy all you want, but if you say he shouldn't get credit should he win then you're a ****ing hypocrite. It makes no difference that you're just a "fan". The fact that your mentally handicapped ass can't even grasp something that simple is just plain sad... And then you have the nerve to call me a dumbass? Okay buddy...

catch weight fights are designed to close the gap between a fighter who stays at a weight longer than they should to beat smaller men and fighters who can barely get the weight up to the weight class limit.

Do i think its unfair to drain your opponent? Absolutely
Do i think its unfair to beat up a fighter 20+ pounds lighter than you? Absolutely

The difference between floyd and canelo is that floyd trusts in his habilities and fights above his optimal weight and canelo prefers to do himself harm to stay at 154 when he could and should fight at 160 with guys his size.

You're missing the fact that the MW division is chock full of guys who walk around much heavier than Canelo and have massive height/reach advantages over him. They're not his size.

Well I do think he deserves credit since droping 2 pounds under a limit hardly makes THAT big of a difference. Going up and down weightclasses when you are old makes you drained not when you are _23_ years old.

And what great fighter doesn't go thru this? If he's gonna be great like most people believe he could be, he needs those kinds of challenges. Do you think sergio is the same size as pavlick and chavez?
