Below is fair, balanced and strong.......And take note: the people picking Frazier.

The Ali between 64 and 67 had the ability to move around on his toes and box for longer periods than the 71 version. Make no mistake about it, Ali gets the better of Frazier at long range, all day long. The 60's version was also slightly quicker and had better reflexes as well. That 'slightly' would be be a small difference but enough of a difference to make things count.

I think Ali would UD him, or Frazier has to quit because his last working eye is closed because of the bruises (like their third fight)

Too fast, too slick, too fast on feet, very mean jab, very mean offense, too good stamina.

    Or I'm wrong

nobody beats a 67 peak ali. his speed, movement and use of angles were in a different league. frazier would be his toughest opponent but he would be faster on his feet than the 71 version and wouldn't rest on the ropes.

Frazier was great at punching on the move, you can't run from him. Ali isn't good enough to beat him on the inside and I can't see anyone keeping him on the outside. Frazier close UD.

I'd pick Frazier to lose to the following:
    Liston
    Foreman
    Tyson
    Holyfield
    Lewis
    Louis

Still a very tough fight for Ali. I see Muhammad pulling out a clear yet close decision.

Very true,Bill. I can't see the logic in anyone predicting Frazier stopping a PRIME Ali by stoppage. Even Joe's Sunday best could n't achieve that in '71.

I think a prime Holmes provides more trouble for Ali than Frazier.

Ali would beat Joe no less than 10-5 decision in rounds, but still a very competitive fight for Muhammad.

Ali with less than 18rds of boxing in nearly 4 years ,put Frazier in the hospital and ruined him . Get real.

So prime Frazier could not stop an Ali who had 18rds of competition in nearly 4 years , but he stops a prime Ali?
    What are you on?:patsch

He dropped him, so a stoppage is not that exagerated. Cooper also dropped him, and came really close to stop him. The truth is, post '70 Ali was not as spectacular in the ring but his chin and his ability to take a punch increased by a lot. As much as you hate to admit it, all the dancing he used to do in his prime could work against him in a Frazier bout. One left hook cathing him off balance and it's good night.

Frazier dropped an Ali who had 18rds of boxing under his belt after nearly 4 years of inactivity
    Read this and remember it.
You never saw Ali in his prime.
He was not allowed to fight during those years.

    You are not logical.:hi:

So let's get this straight, we're not talking about Ali in, let's say, '65-67? We're talking about THAT Ali, the mythological one that would have destroyed any man on Earth in that '67-70 timeframe?
