If Mayweather deserves no credit because he's fighting Canelo at a catchweight...

Its cannot be a 12 round fight without a title on the line. Also the 154 lbs title is anything from 148 - 154. 154 is just the limit.

Fighters like Martinez fight at middle yet rarely weigh in at the limit of 160 lbs.

manny going from 118 to fighting DLH the 154 pound champ at a catchweight within a 2 year time is a little bit of a difference than floyd who held a belt at 154 requesting a catch weight fight against someone in the same division as canelo who has a belt at 154. anyone who cant see the difference between those are idiots

Catchweight was lame with Cotto and Margarito. Cotto being forced to put his title on the line, and Margarito who was shot and exposed prior for a title as paper as it gets.

This catchweight is lame as well since Floyd has fought at JMW before.

People say that Floyd fans are being hypocrites for defending the Alvarez catchweight. I would say that "other" fans are being hypocrites for berating the Alvarez catchweight.

It's a two way road, hypocrites...

And I still don't like them and I still think they're ***** moves. But I also think it had no impact of the Pacquiao/Cotto fight and think it'll have no impact tomorrow

If you take a boxer at their word than both Jean Marc Mormeck and Alexander Povetkin are as good as Mike Tyson was.

ah, yeah, but the difference between Cotto and Canelo in their fights is that Cotto was able to drop those 2 pounds much easier that it is for Canelo. he's a huge Lightmiddle who has pretty poor stamina as it is. those 2 extra pounds that he's stripping are going to make it that much worse for him.

Canelo will be about done after 4 or 5 rounds in a fight that isn't even fought at a high tempo.

i'll give Floyd credit when it's all said and done, but not as much as i would have had it been at the full 154 limit.
Floyd and his team know why they did it. we do too.

i'm not saying floyd will not get credit entirely, but it wouldn't be as complete as he should get had there been no catchweights.

why? because he has fought in this division before and has made no concessions. what is the difference between now and then?
