I agree with Scar. And, I believe a prime DeLa Hoya at 135 or 140 wins comfortably over the best versions of Mayweather at those weights. Unfortunately for de La Hoya, Oscar did not come in proper shape against Floyd and was only able to sustain an acceptable fighting pace for about six rounds. In those six rounds, he was clearly the superior fighter. Hopefully Canelo has learned from this and will not make the same mistake Saturday night. Although I feel that DLH was superior to Alvarez in skills, I believe that Canelo can possibly win this fight at this stage of Floyd's career. But, that is only if Canelo comes in excellent shape. The kind of shape where he throws at least 60-70 punches a round. That used to be par for the course for championship level boxing. But, lately fighters have appeared to be too lazy to train properly.

    Oscar fought him better.

    Cotto fought him harder.

    Canelo would lose to both.

    Floyd UD.

I disagree that Alvarez loses to Cotto. I think prime Oscar beats alvarez by decision, I think Alvarez knocks Cotto out late.

cotto because he did more damage to floyd.

oscar never hit him hard where cotto hit floyd hard numerous times.

floyd won both fights easy .

I don't think Mayweather vs. Cotto being a draw would have been a robbery to be honest. It certainly wasn't 117-111 like some on here claim.

I voted for Cotto. My scorecard for that fight was roughly the same as for the DLH fight, 8-4 or 9-3, but Cotto obviously put a lot more leather on Mayweather. I have to add that Mayweather fought a lot better offensively against Cotto and a lot worse defensively. He really was 2 different versions of himself in these 2 fights so it's kind of apples and oranges.

I think you can make an argument for DLH winning 4 rounds and make and argument for Cotto winning 3.....DLH did better

I had Oscar losing by 3 rounds. Oscar took ZERO damage though and remember Cotto getting fuked up pretty good. Floyd wouldn't have messed with Oscar like that, being more flat footed and willing to trade. He boxed oscar entire fight, he did "brawl" cotto some until Cotto was getting to him.

I don't remember him doing any real dammage? I remember Floyds cheek swollen from oscar. I do remember Cotto being damaged though where as Oscar was completely unscathed.

Cotto got an aging version of Floyd also, where Oscar got a prime version. Oscar is a superior boxer and was besting Floyd through 7 rounds, up 1-2 rounds. But that washed up version of Oscar was FAR from his best.
People forget how good Oscar was as a pure boxer. Remember, he had an amatuer record of over 200 wins with a few losses (maybe 30) whereas floyd had close to 200 wins with double the losses, and oscar had that gold medal, floyd a bronze. Do the math.

    what an insane post...
you are making up number of amateur fights and losses ,adding in colours of medals and asking us to 'do the math'

    cant be done
