Why are people backing matthysse so much?

Matthysse is a great boxer as well he also has the edge in stamina in this fight. Garcia is in with a very strong chance but don't write off Matthysse like that.

 

The performance against Peterson hyped him up as it looked good. A bit like when Hatton took down a shot Castillo with that body shot and everyone suddenly believes he can beat Mayweather as he beat Castillo better, sometimes if it looks good that is all that matters

 

I like danny and hope he wins but my head says Lucas hope I'm wrong.

i think he pounds on garcia and stops him late and i think if anything gets overated...he stopped amir khan and i thought got ran close by a fat erik morales in fight 1....a young fresh classy world champion shouldnt be struggling with a flabby faded legend..even one as good as morales.

He stops Garcia in my opinion, though that's more down to me not rating Garcia that highly rather than rating Matthysse.

 

Agree with Dinamita85 too. If anyone's overrated it's Garcia.

He's had two wins over a shot Morales. He got Khan at the right time just after he'd come off the Ariza / Roach program & he fought a Judah that's definitely on the way down after the hard fights he's had.

Garcia's Dad keeps talking about how Garcia's undefeated but in my eyes Garcia lost against Theophane & Matthysse's losses should've been wins.

Was hoping for Danny to win but after the antics of his dad I really don't mind if Lucas wins now - he seems a cool guy as well.

Ppl are excited about Mattysse with the way he blew through a durable kid like Peterson, but Danny cracks hard too...I think Danny will be ahead on points but will get tagged in an exchange around the 6 and Lucas will finish the job

I'd say it's a 60/40 fight for Lucas. Danny Garcia has insane power in his left hook and even Lucas is vulnerable to it - he got hit quite often against Ajose Olusegun. We'll see how he responds to Danny's power shots.

Both have power & you can make a case for either personally like Matthysse in this fight.

Think Garcia is facing the first fighter that HE knows he can't just stand & trade with can he outbox Matthysse we will see soon enough?

Matthysse stoppage just after the halfway point 7-9 rounds for me.In a fight that whatever happens won't disappoint both bring too much firepower to the table can't wait!

 

Normally both go into fights with the power advantage, this time neither has that (or its at least close) so they have to look elsewhere. Garcia is the better boxer IMO and if he has any sense, he'll take that advantage, will avoid trading and will take the 12 round decision

 

What part of the UK do you live?

I recommend going to a Casino or Nightclub in your town, i'm sure some places will be showing it if you make some phone calls.

I know things are tight for some people at the moment but it's only £10 to subscribe so hardly a kings ransom.
