Mayweather's Chin: Solid So Far, But Could Cracks Be Showing?

To be honest his chin is very rarely tested, its good but he hasnt been checked real good besides the shots from mosely.

 

His punch resistance may or may not have diminished...But his punch recovery has always been excellent. Corley shook him, Mosley hurt him, and Judah scored a flash kd. May might have been hurt by all those shots, but he shook them off and found a way to work himself back into the fight quicker than he had any right doing.

Being hurt isn't the sign of a glass chin. Staying hurt is. Until we see that happen, the there's no real basis to this speculation.

Mayweather's chin is just fine, but this will not help him against Canelo. Canelo will slowly wear Floyd down and concentrate on the body with vicious shots. Slowly and surely Floyd will have damage heaped upon him and, Floyd's ability to defend himself will be compromised. By round 9 it should be over, and Floyd will just run around the ring and try not to get KO'd.

Even if Mayweather's chin becomes weaker, he still has an impeccable defense that is rarely penetrated. He also won't fall with one hit, he is much more resilient than that and if Mayweather gets hit he becomes much more alert and careful.

45 fights later and people still ask about his chin boggles my mine. hes not his uncle or his daddy he is himself and has proven to be able to take a solid shot when he has to. you gone wait till he loses and say i knew he aint have a chin. then try to put him in the other category as fighters who supposedly dont have chin, i dont think so. floyd is official in all area, certified in all areas. if people want to harp on something harp on something like his power or lack of super ko power.
