Give the man his credit Floyd looked awesome tonight, and made a very good fighter look like a sparring partner. I kept waiting for Canelo to gas but to his credit for the most part fought until the end.
The official scorecards do not indicate a schooling. FMJ was running away in the later rounds. FMJ won a close fight after draining Canelo. Not that impressive IMO.
Honestly I thought he had one of his best performances. Not trolling, I'm serious... I'm pretty sure 165 in ring weight is more than his in ring weight for Josesito which was only one year ago. I think he was 163 or 164.
Canelo tonight would beat probably every 147-154 pound fighter on the planet, spare for a few random and unpredictable style match ups.
The fight I was watching was a schooling. I'm a fan of neither. I do appreciate Floyds skills though.
Yeah...but here's the frustrating thing: everybody that fought Floyd eventually got "Schooled", and they all got an "F". I mean, Floyd keeps beating these guys and yet no one has figured out "How" to fight him properly. One and all, they approach Floyd head on and stand directly before him and try to box him...or they try to bum-rush him - and none of it works. When I saw Canelo stand in front of Floyd and start boxing with him tonight, I nearly started crying. At first, Canelo was doing OK, but I knew that sooner or later Floyd was going to wear him down - and he did. It was so predictable. Likewise, when I saw Mosley do the same thing with Floyd, I knew he was in trouble even when he rocked Floyd with those punches. It's so frustrating and predictable, and after you watch hundreds of hour of Floyd videos you understand why it is so. And then it's even more frustrating to watch.
I agree. Also, I think a Duran in his prime would have taken Floyd's head off, too. And...so would SRL. Those guys were monstors.
I appriciate Floyd's skills too. I just wish he'd fight guys straight up with no BS. I did think he won.
I told these many times here one day before the fight, this fight is crap and pathetic, Canelo is limited fighter, and he is weight drained also.
