The 'I'm a dumb*** im picking Garcia to beat Matthyse' Thread

Rooting for Mathysse but picking Garcia.

 

Here's why I'm picking Garcia even though his dad is a racist psycho:

The bigger guy. He is taller, yet more anchored in to the ground ('grounded), stronger core, wider too. Matthysse seems like a blown up 135er. I see him countering early to the body and hard, slowing Matthysse down to a late round TKO or a boxing match UD

Both Matt and Garcia (Theophane SD and Khan half the fight) have been at times outboxed but Matthysse does not have the faint jab (length is shorter than Danny's) or short punches

Danny is also a counter puncher, expect him to take full reign of this.


Mentally: Danny is an undefeated fighter. Matthysse is already looking past him onto Mayweather (mistake in my opinion)

That's just the Garcia end...Matthysse has some aces up his sleeve, I think one of the biggest for people who watch slowly is to use his footwork to get inside and change up his tempo on the inside for a surprise shot...but I don't see Garcia allowing him to do this (he will step back, counter, step back some more and get out of there).

Everything is chance and the greatest chance I see is Danny dominating Lucas in a boxing match.

Edit: I notice a tendency of Lucas to always dip to the right after throwing a combo (to avoid a follow up) if Garcia picks this up Lucas is gonna feel a counter hook or uppercut time and time again

 

Lucas by early knockout punches to short and powerfull

 

:-( Damn I cant wait until this weekend..You guys are seriously gonna be shocked...Danny is no Cleverly who was very hyped and overrated. Garcia earned his where as Clevery was just being hyped by the Brits. not seeing the comparison at all!

 

I have a strange feeling Canelo will pull the upset and Garcia will clip Matthysse early in the fight.
