I had LM as the clear favourite but didn't want to discount a shock win by Garcia.. which is exactly what happened..
Right from the first bell I felt that Garcia was up on points I kept waiting for Garcia to get shook but he didn't look seriously hurt at any point.

I would say that it wasn't completely lobsided but if was a good enough win for Garcia not to have to take a rematch. Which he won't anyway. Garcia is the top man at 140.

Also, what made me start to doubt that Garcia would be KO'd was how confidenthe was in interviews and how he said that LM isn;t even the best fighter that he's fought said Khan is better...
I think it's gonna be a better boxer that beats Garcia

Garcia impressed me. First half was close. Second half all Garcia.

Soon as the eye closed there was only one winner, wouldn't mind seeing a rematch somewhere down the line.

    :thumbsup.

I backed Mattheysse to ko Danny (who I have grossly underestimated) and despite the hole in my pocket I am now a big Garcia fan!!

I thought both showed plenty of heart and skill but I was not expecting Garcia to be able to box with such discipline for 12 rounds. Fair play to Danny, he fought like the true champion he is.

Angel Garcia is a bloody enigma!! He seems certifiable but the Garcia camp (of which Angel is undoubtedly an integral part) formulated a game plan that worked a treat and for that I must give the lunatic his props!!

It was a close, bruising encounter, but I had Garcia winning by at least two points and I for one would love to watch a rematch.

Lucas, is a one punch beast and no one in there right mind can take that away from him, however, he lacks in his boxing abilities. He came to this fight looking for that one punch to change the night and that most definitely back fired.

I believe a rematch would most certainly be welcomed. Both fighters had good moments and it could of went south for either fighter. If a rematch were to take place, i'd go with Garcia, again...maybe a tough fight but the same result. Good fight for boxing...

Matt won that fight. Garcia is dirty, leading with his head and low blowing the entire fight. Matt. should have won

It didn't backfire at all. I think he won the majority of rounds and it was that swollen shut eye that hurt his performance for a couple rounds after. Garcia isn't that good, decent counter puncher but nothing special. Mayweather will make him look like Guerro in their fight

I'm watching it for the 3rd time, on round 12 now. There is no way on earth Matthyse won the fight.

I became a little worried in the later rounds. I thought, oh no this is looking like the Judah fight where Zab poured it on in the second half of the fight. That knock down sealed the victory.

Why does a young guy like Garcia lose his focus in the second half of the fight? He didn't look gassed.

Anyway, good victory and I thought that was Garcia's most impressive win. He had the perfect game plan. Maybe time to start giving Angel some praise.

He landed the better punches. I didn't really focus on the fight but from what I saw he was winning and that knockdown was suspect but was a knockdown, don't know why he went down though. He wasn't hurt

intelligence was always going to win that fight , and anybody who knew anyhing, knew Garcia was a smarter boxer.
