Jazza Dickens V Kid Galahad purse bids for English title

By all accounts Jazza was up on the judges score cards, I've heard by 3 rounds.

Quigg and Frampton would beat the both of them.

2 judges had it to Jazza by 3, the other had it level.

Think Bent-nose should change his name to Brown-nose... seems to have a little fascination with Galahad

 

I wouldn't mind if it was justified I had galahad as part of my accumulator last night and I thought it was a good opportunity to showcase his skills but he failed to impress me

 

Ian Darke had Galahad comfortably ahead - the other guy is a Liverpool journalist.

Galahad listened to his corner who told him to step it up after the 8th. He did and Dickens couldn't live with it.

What has that got to do with it? The "Liverpool journalist" obviously recieved information on the judges score cards which is the question you asked - he wasn't telling how he scored the fight.

I agree, Jazza was ****ed going into the round Galahad stopped him. Great shot.

 

Can't resist after reading for months on here how Galahad bottled it, he can't punch and how Dickens "scouse Pacquiao" is going to KO him.

Likewise there's also been a lot of bull**** on here about how Galahad is "the best pure boxer coming out of the UK at the moment", better than Quigg & Frampton and the next big thing - which he isn't.

Galahad has received a lot of unjustified hype - why couldn't you resist giving Jazza stick but not Galahad who was made to look oh so not very special last night?

 

I actually agree with what your saying they waited for dickens to gas and then went for the k.o but for me the problem is that Galahad got outboxed for the bulk of the fight. Now with the style he uses he should be the one winning the rounds, to rely on the knock out when you have little power is silly and the only reason dickens didn't recover is because he had nothing left in the tank. In my eyes it wasn't that Galahad won the fight but dickens lost it for himself, he was the better fighter he just lacked the stamina. Since the first time I watched dickens I thought he looked fidgety and used up a lot of energy with his nervy and tense style and it showed last night when he ran out of steam. If he could work on that he would stand a much better chance. Don't know which direction he goes from here though or who you would stick him in with next. Wouldn't mind seeing either of them in with willie casey

 

How's jazza the scouse PAC man anyway. Number 1 PAC got knocked out from a world class fighter and also got knocked clean out where as dickens got up.
Number 2 if your saying dickens has no chin then your basically saying your guy can't punch because if he could there would be no shame in getting knocked out by him

 

Ah well, I'm sure if your that arsed you can give it a quick search on google... it's circulating that 2 of the 3 judges had Jazza had 3 up before the stoppage.

End of the day, Galahad took it out of the judges hands with a great shot - but he's not on the same level as Quigg or Frampton.

 

I don't think Galahad was outboxed. He held the centre of the ring all fight and Tv commentary spoke of him controlling the fight with his jab. Dickens was a good amateur and an England international. To start boxing at 15 and be British champ at 23 is miraculous yet Galahad is getting no credit for KO'ing a very good opponent.
