Im on record in this thread as saying he needs to fight Pac.

    There is no disputing that.

But overall I disagree with your conclusion.

Forget Floyd for a minute. The fab four had each other. And they fought each other. Good on them. Does that mean that if you dont have 3 other all-timers in your division, you will never measure up to them?

I would argue that this floyd at ww is the best floyd msyweather. He may not posses the power but hes a much more complete fighter his defence is tighter his iq is better. This is floyds peak . Late 2009- now

He looked bigger then Canelo in what world?

Fight night weights were 165 Canelo and 150 Floyd.

    But Floyd looked bigger?

Peps forget floyd may be 37 but for yhe past 5 years hes fighting 1 fight per year. He take no punishment and looks after himself between fights. His age shoukd be a problem . Remember duran fought far more at 40- 50 than floyd does. So the age or the affects should be minimal.

But near the end of his career Jones tried dealing with it by fighting Ruiz. Floyd hasn't done anything like this. It would be like him fighting Ward.

I was referring to Pac moving up to middleweight, which is where Duran and Hagler fought. Hagler could never come down to welter, he certainly didn't carry that much extra weight.

Jones is the trickiest fighter to rank out of all of them.

    Where do you have him?

Maybe, it means if you don't have the level of comp your trying to compare yourself to in terms of being an ATG that the others fought then it's almost impossible to put your talents into perspective.

This is especially true when the one fighter who would have helped achieve this comparison, namely Pac never took place.

In my mind, Floyd can fight for money or for a legacy, but if he's fighting for the later, he needed to fight Pac in his prime, and he never did.

Jones picked ruiz yea and it was a great feat . Jones was special how special we will never no. Floyd has at least more options right now and time to cement it . I just hope for his legacy he does. Jones was very similar to ray robinson in hus early days but he changed his style a lil as he moved up.
