It was a fairly easy fight to score and a shut out for PBF wouldn't be surprising.
His inactivity made him look pretty damn ordinary last May, but staying active and working a second fight this year brought out a great version of Floyd.

Actually if you go to Sherdog or any other MMA messageboard site like that, a rising percentage of that fan base is actually starting to prefer Boxing to it. According to many in that fan base, and many casual Boxing fans I have spoken with, Boxing has been anywhere from "great" too "excellent" with "Awesome" thrown in between.

In short you can stop using that "boxing is on the decline" mantra, because from the ton of buzz I've heard over this entire year boxing is making a huge comeback! Definitely back on the incline, with regular fights on network TV again such as Golden Boy Promotions on FOX Sports 1, it's only going to keep getting more and more popular :good

Yeah, despite the way boxing has been going, that still would have stunned me. Like the asteroid scenario, there is all only so much preparation one can do!

As a casual fan of MMA, it's bound to happen that MMA guys come over to boxing.

What once was seen as the lack of restrictions as making more varied and interesting fights.. it's the opposite.. the restrictions of just punching has the ability to create far more drama, skill, and interesting fights.

As of this moment it's #7, ahead of Cotto vs. Margarito II and within 3 replies of catching Alvarez vs. Trout @ #6 and 23 replies of catching Marquez vs. Fedchenko @ #5 but that is the highest it will climb. Garcia vs. Morales II @ #4 is like 300 away.

(Ironic that it should lag behind solo headlining acts for two individuals from the co-main events of The One...)

You were ****ing high. I'm not even one of Floyd's bias fans just a boxing fan, but Floyd stood right in front of Alvarez and traded most of the night. He just didn't get hit that much, which is the point of boxing you know hit and not get hit. Just because Floyd was able to land at will while standing right in front of him, yet avoiding most of his shots doesn't mean Floyd ran. It just means he actually not only put forth a genuinely entertaining fight (which doesn't happen to often) but masterful performance as well.

Sorry your fighter lost, but seriously you should learn to give credit where it's due.

Exactly plus the best fighters have been more willing to fight each other, and people have finally gotten past the thought of a fighter having lost a fight against another really good fighter doesn't mean that fighters career is over. When the best fight the best consistently nobody is going to win them all. I honestly think MMA has helped the casual fan and even the network exec's a tremendous amount with getting over that way of thinking. Fighters can still be marketable if they lose when they are fighting the best competition available, the UFC have made that way of thinking popular.

Of course it wasn't. IB is notoriously bad at scoring fights.

And you're notoriously bad at watching them. Still think that Lennox's thumb did the damage, bremen?

I suggest not posting it, as one of the posted rules on this forum is "DO NOT request or post links to full fight downloads".
