Won't let me post the link yet but its in dailymail today, if you google it you'll find it. Hunter concerned that Khan isn't giving boxing his all.

This has been like this since about 2009, I don't think he is going to change now. Back then he was saying he was moving to LA to train with Freddie but missing his Bolton life just ended up only staying in LA when in training camp.

It's a shame but I think his heart just isn't in it, some boxers thrive through just being in the gym, around other fighters and being part of that. For Amir who has only ever known fame within boxing he wants the celebrity part. Makes you wonder what kind of fighter he could have been had he trained properly

I think the best line in the article is the one where Hunter refers to the fact Khan came to him because he said his other trainer didn't have the time and focus for him, so he came to hunter asking if he had time, but now its Hunter asking Khan the same question

After seeing his two fights with Hunter i reckon Khan has gone backwards as a fighter and seems caught between his natural instincts as a fighter and the one Hunter is trying to create.

I can see Khan ending up back with Roach in the future who i think understood the strengths and shortfalls of Amir and made him a better fighter in their time together.

Also under Roach he beat Kotelnik, Maligianni, Maidana, Judah and i personally thought he clearly beat Peterson who was roided any way and for 2 rds was annihilating Garcia before he got careless.

He's frankly looked like **** under Hunter although as the article suggests could be down to Khans lack of desire then anything Hunter has done.

very true, i think his best days were with roach...roach's style suits khan... but if you fight dumb then regardless of style you're going to get ko'd... that's what happened with khan... shame

Yeah. I think it seems like he's going backward because he's changing his style but isn't spending enough time working on it to get it right. If this is how he's going to be, he should stick with what he knows as roach had him doing.
Better to do the old approach good than a better approach badly.

He's got 3 months to sort himself for the Alexander fight. This is going to be the toughest fight yet for him by far. If he can stay focused without letting alexander frustrate him then he can win it.

I don't buy into the thing about him beating Garcia easily until a lucky punch. You can see in the prior round and before he threw it that he knows Khan is open for it and tries repeatedly

i think hes peaked and past his best now, i know that sounds mad at 26/27 but i really think he wont get any better.

i can see his promoters cashing in on him soon

If he beats Alexander in December then he'll fight Kell Brook next, as he will be mandatory and its the biggest payday Khan can get aside from Mayweather , who won't be available as we are probably good to assume he will be fighting Garcia on May 4th

even if he beats alexander and kell brook i don't think he has done enough to deserve a fight with mayweather unless he really puts a beating on devon (opposite is more likely possible)... in my eyes he would have to win a rematch with garcia at 147... then i think no one would question a fight with money

as of right it's a complete joke.... and unless he gets passed alexander in style i don't think it makes sense at all

You might be right but boxing puts money before deserves. Right now he won't get Mayweather before Garcia but after Garcia he is probably next on the list

Khan is always looking past his opponent. He's talking about fighting Mayweather disregarding the fact that Alexander has a good chance of beating him.

The alexander fight is 50/50. He is a tricky, spoiling (if he wants to) southpaw who has a good boxing brain and is quick. Khan will have to be at his best and concentrate on his training (Instead of being an internet skype pervert as revealed by yesterdays sun). I think if both preformed to their best Khan takes the decision

Agree with a lot of what has been said, his time with Hunter has really been very unsuccessful. He is in no mans land in terms of boxing style, if his heart is really not in it he should retire now before he gets a serious beating

Its a shame as he did have some talent

The Khan conversation needs to end. Alexander is the best boxer he has faced. Khan is getting knocked out again.

Do you mean in terms of technique? Because I see Garcia beating Alexander for sure if he moves up.
