I dont agree with anyone who says the fight was boring. I found it very entertaining to see Floyd put on a masterclass. But Canelo was the one sitting back waiting to counter. In 9 of the rounds Floyd was the aggressor! So if anyone fought a boring fight it was Canelo!
Easy to type behind a keyboard "Canelo should have made it more entertaining and went all-out". He's the one eating Mayweather's counters and only he knows how hard they were for him to be reluctant to go all-out.
Then what do you mean by "he made it boring, it was Mayweather who went aggressive most of the time"?. How else could he have made it more entertaining other than being more aggressive?
It was an "OK" fight..........not great at all IMO. To be honest I thought it would be much better but I think Mayweather's power surprised Canelo. He took some vicious right hands to the head. JET
You could say he showed Mayweather to much respect but I felt at one point he was just fresh out of ideas
it was a good fight to watch i just expected it to be more competitive -_-.. and i did not expect floyd to be the aggressor but whatever he did he did it well..
I agree , he isnt this killer the press make him out to be , more of a counter / box puncher than a fighter. I always said this was a mismatch and 24 7 didnt change my mind one bit. Nice kid though.
I didn't find the fight boring at all. I thought it was entertaining but then I like technical fighters like Mayweather and Canelo. This was never going to be a war with Canelo applying pressure he is simply not that kind of fighter. He's more of a counter puncher which is why he was never going to beat Mayweather other than a lucky punch.
