Yep. Roys decline had nothing to do with stopping PEDs....he probably never did...it had to do with the jump to heavy and then a very quick drop back to LHW at an age where recovering from a change like that may take a long time...if ever.

I don't think PED users really think about it like they are cheating to gain an advantage over a clean fighter..

I am sure they realize they are everywhere, and the chances of their opponent jucing is also pretty good. In a sport where you win at all costs for legacy and finacial security, I am sure it makes sense to them to use.

 

I never understood why people always let Holyfield off the hook to be honest. Is it because he beat up Mike Tyson when people thought Tyson was a bully? Or because he was like "the little engine that could" at heavyweight? Or because he claimed to be Christian so people just assumed he was an honorable guy? I dunno.
