I'm not a ***** but I respect his accomplishments. Did you watch the fight? What about the fight gives you this inkling that he'd have a ghost of a chance next time?
1) Not being weight drained 2) Experience of going 12 rounds with FMJ 3) Age factor, Canelo is only 23 and Floyd is much older and breaking down
canelo never once complained of being weight drained. in fact, all he did was say that floyd was too great in regards to why he lost. also, what did floyd do on saturday that gave you the slightest clue that he was breaking down? he out skilled, out quicked and out fought a younger, bigger, stronger, hungry as hell fighter, yet he's "breaking down"? you're grasping for straws.
This.... When canelos team, and medical proffesionals are happy with canelos physical condition in relation to making weight what make you think for one second that they are wrong... Then you add canelo himself saying he was very happy with how he feels and how he made weight Maybe floyd paid off the doctors ??? Maybe thats why CJ Ross went against him because she did not see and coin roll her way? The canelo rematch if it happends i think ud agree given the facts and the result of the first fight make NO sense to make for an immediate rematch, canelo should build himself back up while floyd defends his title at his natural weight division of 147. But like i said. If canelo says his not weight drained. If his team say it, and his doctors who are proffesionals in there field say it... Why do you think he was weight drained? Because its only you and one other person on this forum stating it (and the other person displays borderline autistic tendencies with how repetitive and ignorant his "posts" are) I mean you can look at my post and any other and say "huuurr *****" i dont mind its water off the ducks back and i think you will find that with your reputation as a very below average poster not alot of people really take your opinion into consideration But if you attempt to just for a second realise that whatim posting is my opinion backed up by factual evidence i think you would earn some respect from other members... Or just make another alt and rinse and repeat ...
He's a professional. He's not going to complain about being weight drained, but wouldn't you agree he'd be better and more comfortable at 154? Canelo did say "They (TMT) know very well that they're the ones that wanted the fight at this weight" in All Access. Did De La Hoya ever complain about being weight drained vs Pacquiao? Did Cotto ever complain about being weight drained against Pacquiao? Probably not, certainly not in the post fight interview. Doesn't mean they weren't weight drained. As far as Floyd breaking down, well he's getting older. Floyd a few years ago said himself that he's breaking down. That's why he gets professional massages and goes to specialists to heal his hands, that have gotten injured in a lot of his fights. The age factor, you know 36 vs 23. It's a huge age difference.
Canelo might beat Floyd at 154lb if he was allowed the extra 2lb as lead weights in his gloves (and even then it might not help... he was having enough trouble hitting Floyd without his hands being heavier!).
Heavier gloves slow down your handspeed. I thought the gloves in this fight were fine. No need to change those. Heavier gloves might have more power, but you might not be able to land quick shots that could surprise an opponent as easily. And when it comes to rocking or knocking out opponents, it's the punches that you don't see coming, the quick punches that land flush.
im not talking about de la hoya or cotto. im talking about canelo alvarez and two pounds and a 23 year old kid who is still growing. he said he felt great and that floyd beat him off of skill and experience. if he says that, im going with him, not your opposing assertion, which goes completely unsupported might I add. and, although he showed no signs of losing a step last saturday and perhaps looked as sharp as ever, i'll pose you this question just for the sake of argument. what did floyd do or not do, in his A plus performance against canelo, that makes you say, if they fought again, perhaps mayweather will have reached a stage of physical decline so great that canelo would be able to defeat him?
Correct. Canelo showed nothing at all that would lead a thinking person to believe he could beat Floyd. I would also go so far as to say that Canelo showed little heart in his effort.
It's not that I believe Mayweather will get that much worse, it's just that he's 13 years older than Canelo, and with every month and year that passes, Canelo will get closer to his peak, and Floyd will get farther away from his peak. The poster asked me to list reasons why it would be different in a rematch at 154, and I gave 3 reasons: Age, experience going 12 rounds vs FMJ, and not being weight drained. Canelo is just going to get better and better, and pretty soon Floyd will be ducking Canelo at 154 like was ducking Pacquiao. He ducked Pacquiao for the same reason he needed a Catchweight for Canelo. It was because he was threatened by a dangerous fighter who he knew could beat him. All of Floyd's politicking is because at his core, at this stage of his career, he just doesn't have the balls to fight the best. When he was younger, he fought whoever and I give him credit for that. But ever since beating DLH, he hasn't really had anyone to challenge him. Mosley and Cotto were past their prime. Until now, Canelo was a fierce opponent and that's why Floyd needed a sissy Catchweight to drain Canelo so he could win. Floyd is becoming a joke. It's sad.
