anyway, i'm confident that canelo would win because lara, regardless of his slick style and athleticism, still gets hit often and lets his heart supersede his boxing brain, but it wouldn't be a wipeout. the difference between lara and trout is that lara hits with VENOM!

A very sloppy Ángulo got all up in that ass, Canelo gets the job done. Would like to see this one if e don't get Cotto.

 

It ain't gonna make me many friends, but I just don't think 'Nelo is really that good. Fairly heavy handed, but not massively so, good, but not exceptional, handspeed. Always seemed to me solid, but pretty one dimensional.

Lara could get hit, but I don't see Alvarez getting the stoppage. Assuming unbiased judging, Lara outskills, outboxes and outslicks 'Nelo.

EDIT. _ I've managed to make it sound like I think 'Nelo's rubbish, which couldn't be further from the truth, I think he's good, just not that good. I see an Angulo type of fight (without the eye stoppage) with Lara winning a SD or close UD. Alvarez might land some of the most telling shots, but Lara hits more accurately and more often for my money.

Canelo had better get his **** together cause there are some boys coming up the ranks that will wash his ass. He knows that and that's why he wanted the money fight early cause his future at 154 is dim. Them Charlo boys up outta Texas is gonna be wrecking **** and Canelo is in the way, his ass is grass. Lara displayed a lot of heart and a sturdy chin in handling El Perro's Margarito impression. I mean we knew he's a skilled boxer but it was nice to see his good warrior mentality take the lead when pressed. ::

Haven't seen it yet, but sounds like Canelo didn't show much give-up while getting his ass kicked by Floyd.

Oh...my pick : Leaning Lara but am kinda fence sitting til I can see what Canelo looked like vs Floyd.

 

It just wouldn't be a Lara prediction thread if people weren't calling for him to dominate his opponent, only to have the shortest memory on the planet the morning after when that doesn't turn out to be the case. You couldn't get these guys to admit Angulo might win a round heading in to that fight.
