If Khan beats Alexander, the fight becomes acceptable on paper.

However, it just seems like way too easy of a fight to notch his 27th KO.

Khan got TKO'd against Garcia, lost to Peterson & got dropped by Diaz.
Easy pay day for Mayweather jr.

I feel the same exact way. He doesn't even have the right to call out Floyd in my opinion. I doubt he can make it past Broner.

But Khan does bring a big European market behind him so he might have a shot at Floyd because Floyd loves money just as much as winning.

Floyd won't get away with fighting Khan, it's a hard sell to the boxing public.

Mayweather has to fight fights where it's a possibility that he could lose.
So a Pac fight, Martinez, Golovkin, Garcia or Bradley.
They would all create some sort of interest.

Fighting Amir Khan is not realistic, it won't happen because we'd all know the result.
No one would buy that fight.

I respectfully disagree. I didn't feel Ortiz or Guerrero had a prayer at beating Floyd, people bought it (obviously, less people bought the Guerrero fight). If Khan manages to beat Alexander either 1) impressively or 2) in barnburner (like Ortiz-Berto), Floyd would get away with it.

Which is a shame, because Khan isn't really a worthy opponent.

Does he really think it boils down to speed versus speed?

First of all, their speed isn't equal.

Second, Khan has virtually nothing else but his speed (which in this case, for once, isn't to his advantage)
