Watched Canelo-mayweather again, this time russian commentators. Interesting.

Floyd won clearly but the fight was a lot closer than what the boxing media were claiming. I had it 10-2 on fight night, rewatching it I have it 8-4 I could see 7-5. Floyd extremely accurate but not nearly active enough. Also a lot of punches canelo threw floyd only partially blocked. Just because his arm slightly brushed canelos glove does not mean the strike didn't still land.

Pretty impressive canelo could hang in there trying to out box floyd and at times countering his jab with a superior jab.

Do you understand Russian? If so, how were the commentators scoring the fight?

i watched the fight 3 times, i had it 7-4 and i scored the first round even. it was a very hard fight to score, a lot of the rounds were close. all the people saying it was a blow out i challenge you to watch it again. either way floyd did clearly win but it was by no means a shut out.

I watched the fight wearing coke bottle glasses, while cranking rap music and reading the ESB RBR.

I had it 13-0 for Floyd...

No, I got to watch the fight without hearing/understanding and form of commentating. I focused on the fighting 100%. Canelo did a lot better than I remember + hearing the biased shotime commentary

Something doesn't add up. You emphasize "this time russian commentary" yet you say without hearing. All you had to do was mute your speakers. Sounds like another one of those, "I rewatched the fight now it's much much closer, [blah blah blah]". Just calling it like I see it.

Most of the rounds were hard to score but the fight was clearly mayweather's

If I muted the speakers, I would not be able to hear the fight noises.

Scored it 117-111 on fight night and I think it was pretty accurate scorecard.

What people fail to understand is that a lot of the rounds where decided in favor of Mayweather because he simply landed one or two more jabs, or a straight right more than Canelo.

Credit to Mayweather for doing his thing.

Watch the fight again, canelo is a lot more slick and talented than he is given credit for. Great head movement, slips punches nicely, he was mocking floyd's shoulder roll at one point.

The kid has skills, don't see why people call him a bully brawler.

Wouldn't the predominately Canelo crowd noise then affect your judgement? No biggie. I had it 10-2 and could see anything from 12-0 to 9-3 and MAYBE 8-4 if you were generous and gave all the close rounds to Canelo.

Usually your first instincts are right. When watching a 2nd, 3rd time you tend to scrutinize the guy who won more and looking for reasons to give the loser a round. I can't do it. I flip flop too much.
