Lucas Martin Matthysse vs. Danny Garcia

Knocking out zombie Petterson who didn't even throw a punch doesn't prove anything.

Lucas has no speed and speed is a problem for Danny. Garcia will weaken Lucas downstairs. Coming forward on a crisp counter puncher is not wise.

Garcia has one hell of a chin, damn this may go to a decision. Have no idea who will win, could be a split decision either way.

If Lucas hits clean Garcia will get knocked out. Also Lucas will make Garcia tired from body shots. Lucas also CAN box! He is not just a brawler with power.
Question is if Garcia can hurt Lucas. I think he can. All in all it will be a great fight.

 

At the end of the night, i can only see lucas winning. Everything is in his favour as long as he doesn't become too wild and in love with his hype.

I see Garcias face being smashed up and brutalised, Garcia cuts easily and has bled in every fight. Matthysse is gonna be like "you bleed like pai mai". Even if his chin holds out, he will get cut up. Matthysse on the other hand rarely if ever seems bruised or cut.


Out of the two, garcia is always there to be hit, he likes to punch with his opponent which is dangerous thing to do with a puncher. Matthysse on the other, can be hit coming in, but also is more mobile on his feet and is under-credited for slipping and moving out of range.

Matthysse takes the W, in a brutal war where both men get clipped, but matthysse takes the shot better, both because of his chin and tougher unmanecured skin.

 

I'm surprised that Danny Garcia is such an overwhelming underdog here.

People are really understating the very cerebral approach that he brings to the ring. He will have a gameplan and he will force Lucas to adjust.

This is a great fight.

 

damn.. majority picking matthysse ko. i can see why, but i don't agree with it. garcia is stronger than those people think imo.. and he will counter matthysse.. swift really is swift
