He should have been too quick for Wlad aswell! Wlad is better than Fury but he still has to get inside to throw the wild haymakers. Once he gets tagged he'll be scared of getting knocked out like he was against Wlad...he's no longer a fighter who wants any part of a fight, he wont go out on his gumshield he just wants money.
I'm sure he learned a massive lesson with Vlad and like you say Vlad is better than Fury ................. by some distance. I dont expect it to go past 4-5 rounds.
:good Unless Haye can take Fury out like he did Audey, without shipping any punches this is how I see this fight going. And Fury most definitely isn't Audley! Pretty much every single fight Fury has fought, he has broken his opponents nose very early in the fight (Rogan, Firtha, Chisora, Maddalone & Cunningham) with his much underrated jab. At nearly 19 stone and with a 73% KO rate, although he doesn't have one punch lights out power, Fury hits plenty hard enough to deter most opponents from being brave pretty quickly!
If Fury tries to smother Haye, use his weight etc like he did against Cunningham - which he won't as I'm sure he knows better - he gets stopped brutally. In order to smother Haye, he has to come inside and up close time and time again... against a guy with decent headmovement, speed of both hand and foot and the sheer power of Haye, that is an awful game plan.
Smother may have been the wrong word, I guess more rough house tactics as mentioned above. I would expect Fury to fight at distance, it's proven he find's it difficult to get past a good jab which Fury has, but at any opportunity Fury will rough try rough him up imo.
Fury has the problem in that often when he comes in close, he squares himself up which makes him quite literally wide open to a right hand. It's a footwork and boxing smarts issue that he has to address for this fight, if he doesn't then he'll end up on his back.
Yeah I see where you are, Fury still has alot to improve on but has improved alot to date and he's always got up from his back before. Haye is favourite but Fury I hope gives him hell and ends up winner.
