Im glad fans are coming around to seeing the fight for what it really was. Floyd won, but the fight as a whole was close but clear. I had it probably 8-4 but maybe 7-5, so the ultimate scoring wasnt super close, but almost all the individual rounds were. The first 6 rounds were extremely close, with the sole difference being the speed.

I think people watch floyd fighting against a big puncher and they wanna see if the big punch can land and hurt Floyd, and when it doesnt land, they think Floyd dominated. Canelo knew better than that, and so did I. You can't hit Floyd to the head much, if at all from an orthodox stance. But you can hit the body and that's what Canelo did with more consistency than 99% of Floyd's opponents. and he stopped many of mayweather's usual tricks and forced him to be as creative and diverse as his capabilities allowed.

I had 9-3 Floyd, but someone could've swung a round either way without being too far off. The compubox numbers seemed way off.

Agreed. Not surprising that they counted a lot of glancing Canelo punches as blocked. But I'm glad people like you are adding your two cents. The compubox connection numbers seemed way off.

Somehow those compubox numbers always favor the house fighter.

Most of the time compubox has trouble registering connects to the body.
.....and if a particlar fighter guages with his jabbing hand and happens to touch the opponents skin, guess what? It registers as a connect.
The recieving fighters does'nt blink an eye in knowing there's nothing coming behind the push jab he see's his way, yet compubox finall numbers say fighter A landed with 50% of his jabs, half of those which could have been guagers that were completely ineffective.

Its just about time people stopped using punchstats to judge boxing matches.

If you were to hire a professional announcing team and pay them to voice over the Canelo vs Trout fight and depict that Trout was winning the rounds.
Then take that broadcast and show it to a bunch of forum members here who've never seen the fight, I'd bet almost all of them would go by what they heard the broadcast crew describe and be admamant Trout was robbed vs Canelo.

If that broadcast crew were to depict domination by Trout, by golly these nonthinking forum members would yell dominance by Trout!

Its just what boxing has become.
Most fans who watch boxing take up the stance they heard from the broadcast crew which in to many cases have an agenda behind it.

I'm surprised he threw and connected those many punches in the 12 round according to Compubox when all I can recall was Floyd avoiding Canelo, with Canelo asking him at some point to engage.

Keep digging Mayhaters, ain't no gold down there, but keep digging anyway.

Funny how the entire boxing world see's how Floyd waxed Canelo, but a few haters on ESB can't accept it. Stay small tho!!

Do you guys realize that this entire event, from the Catchweight, to the press scoring, to the Compubox, to the attacking of CJ Ross, has all been tilted to make Floyd look better than he actually was?

We've never seen anything like this. Even the report that CJ Ross has stepped down, I believe that's a fake report. Because Kizer came out in support of CJ Ross's card and didn't say that any action should be taken.

It's a lot more than a few people. It's a healthy split between those that think it was close and those that think it was a shutout. Your "my way or the highway" attitude is a sign of immaturity and it's a result of your inability to accept the scoring of the fight. How sad. Maybe you'll grow up one day.:hi:

Mayweather is a really, really good fencer. He touches you and gets away. Barely touches you and gets away. Really good boxer. I like fighters though. Only guy I can maybe see beating him is a motivated, in shape Sergio if he still got it due to styles and the way Martinez sells the fight like Floyd does.

I know you got turkey **** for brains and you're doing the best you can to soothe the psychological pounding your anus took at Mayweather's masterful display of boxing prowess but I'll let you figure it out from
