Have you seen my post and other post priot to the fight. 95 percent thinks Floyd will win. I told prior to the fight that Canelo is a pathetic fight. There is nothing special about Canelo. He does not posses exceptional power, he does not posses blinding speed, his boxing skills is not exceptional. His reach is short. And what made it worse Canelo is drained at 152.

Floyd career is made of carefully handpicked opponent.

he ran? wtf, right when the bell rang in the first round, Floyd ran to Canelo and backed him up

no I haven't been following you around, so I didn't read it. And that's cute that you thought all those things about Canelo, but the majority of the public wanted Canelo to be Floyd's opponent and most saw him as the biggest threat

so it appears that this thread was started because of floyds win over the limited and soon-to-be-further-exposed canelo alvarez.

to most people that understand and have followed boxing for more than two or three years have canelo probably ranked somewhere below yory boy campas.

with that being said, if floyd were to concurrently hold the jww, ww and jmw belt then he could make a case for srr.

a win over the most publically overrated(i emphasize "publically" because anyone that knows boxing knew canelo was nothing) fighter in the last 20 years?

    no.

Oh and Ryan_c, you should cut the bull****. This is what you said in a thread titled, "Canelo vs Mayweather - an argument for why it should never happen". This was back in April 21st. The day after Canelo beat Trout

But I expect him to fight Canelo at 154, and when I told that I have not seen much how Canelo fight. But after seeing many Canelo fights, this guy is a limited fighter. That's why prior to the fight you see me post many times that this is a crap and pathetic fight, that Canelo is not special fighter.

Canelo is still the best 154 lb fighter in the world today. Floyd would need to beat Canelo at 154 lbs for him to be the legitimate LMW champ. For him to concurrently hold those titles, he would have to defend his titles as well.

It's a disgrace to the sport to even compare this guy to SRR. Even Hopkins won't go that far.

The first time him and Morales fought it was a war. Morales fought Pacquaio by boxing and moving with the jab but it was still a war. What are you talking about Pacqauio got beat up? The second and third time was the destructions. A old shot fighter does not beat that Pacqauio.

You left out the Barerra wins and Marquez that I bought up. Why? I have to assume that you must agree that Pacquaio's wins over these two are just simply impressive. They are whether you agree or not. I count off the top of my head five Hall of Famer's Pacqauio destoryed in his prime at higher weights and year after year. Barerra, Morales, and Marquez are three of the best fighters of the early and mid 2000's. Cotto and Margarito were two of the best in the latter 2000's. An entire decade he destroyed great fighters. He wanted to fight Mayweather all of a sudden we start hearing about Steriods. Nobody did that to Mike Tyson when he was ripping through the heavyweights. They just took their beatings like men.

After the Floyd match De La Hoya was encouraged to fight Pacquaio...after the Pacquaio De La Hoya to encouraged to never fight again. Both him and Morales quit in the ring. They quit because they were taking a beating and they realized they could do nothing to stop it.

Now, you want to talk about old and Floyd:
    1. Cotto: way past his prime and gave Floyd a hard night.
    2. Mosley: Staggered Floyd way past his prime.
    3. De La Hoya: Ran Floyd all around the ring. Maybe Floyd's toughest fight since the first Castillio.

I am pretty sure you will not come back with anything other some kind of sarcastic remark...or one liner. So I will spare my self and declare you the winner of this conversation reguardless of what has bee said. Please, prove me wrong in my assessment.

You are right. I forgot about that with the "dental work". Floyd gets a pass.

DLH was a zombie because Pacquaio made him look like one. He beat DLH up for the money and because it was easy. This DLH, is the same fighter that a year before pushed Floyd all over the ring and made him work hard no matter what the cards said. I think it should have been just as easy a night for Floyd as it was for Manny.

    You do not agree?
