What opponent(s) have had a legitimate chance to beat him that he ducked? I'm asking because I honestly don't know boxing as well as you guys.

Antonio Margarito and Paul Williams were welterweight champions when Floyd ducked them. Floyd actually retired when it became obvious that he wanted no part of Margarito, Williams, and even prime undefeated Cotto.

Then Margarito got knocked out and 2 weeks later Floyd returned to boxing!

The last two opponents I give full credit to Floyd for are Canelo, and Hatton (2007).

Everything he did up until the Corrales fight was simply amazing.

Now, anything he has done in between Hatton and Canelo, does not make him the greatest of all time, not even close.

He fought Marquez at a weight disadvantage, beat an old De La Hoya, and old Mosley, and immature and unproven Ortiz, a washed up Cotto who had been damaged by Margarito and Pacquiao, and defeated a huge underdog and good but not anything close to great Guerrero.

Dude Margarito lost his very next fight after this video and didnt get another relevant win years later. Menwhile Mayweather fought and beat the 1/2 JMW an WBC Champ at the time in De La Hoya. Also how were Williams and Margarito champions when Mayweather was the undisputed WW Champ til he retired at the end of 07".:huh

Bull****. Floyd was never undisputed WW champ. In 2006, Margarito had the WBO welterweight title and Floyd ducked him to fight Zab Judah, who had just been brutalized by Kostya Tszu.

In 2007, Paul Williams won a narrow decision over Margarito to take the WBO title. Floyd at that time fought a shot De La Hoya and a smaller man in Ricky Hatton. I can understand taking the payday with Oscar, but why fight a light welterweight when you can fight Paul Williams to unify the welterweight titles?

Let's keep it real and stop the fanboy nut-hugging. Floyd is NOT comparable to great fighters of the past like Harry Greb and Ray Robinson, who fought a combined 450+ fights against better opposition than Floyd faced in 45 fights.

Judah lost to tszu in 02" he fought Mayweather in 06", even though he lost to Baldomir Zab was still IBF Champ and Baldomir beating Zab held the WBC & WBA titles. Effectivly giving Mayweather all the WW titles guys like Cotto, Margarito, Berto, Williams only won belts because Mayweather retired vacating all his titles learn your history being a fan has norhing to do with facts
