Manny openly declared last Sept, that he'd be willing to comply with all of Floyd's demands, and he was happy to take a 45% share of the purse, for a proposed bout early the following year (earlier this year)

This was after Floyd had offered a flat fee, with no PPV share, that Manny laughed at.

Then a few months later, Floyd met with Arum.

But again nothing could be worked out.

They couldn't work out a deal in principle for a proposed bout earlier this year.

Arum made statements saying that Floyd didn't want the fight, and 50 cent came out and said the same.

So even if Manny had beaten Marquez last Dec, I don't think the fight would have happened anyway.

    Tekniqs,

Floyd met with Arum in November to discuss the possibility of a fight early this year, whilst Manny was preparing for Marquez.

Nothing was agreed. Then when Manny got knocked out against Marquez, that killed everything completely.

Again, they met in November, and Roger Mayweather said that talks had gone ok.

Why wouldn't Floyd have been happy? There was pressure for them to fight. Roger said that he had to fight Manny. Floyd had gotten what he'd always wanted, and he'd have had the majority of the purse, in what would have been the biggest grossing fight of all time.

Why shouldn't Floyd have given him the time of day?

There's still never been any proof that Manny was dirty.

Floyd labelled Manny as a cheat, and called him a yellow, rice eating midget, who was popping power pellets etc.

Floyd's a fighter, and he had the opportunity to fight in the biggest fight ever.

So he should have been more than interested in trying to make the fight.

I agree, but I think he was put on the spot.

They did initially say no problem, but to my knowledge, that was to the test in principle, but they said no, when Floyd wanted it up to the day of the fight.

Blood might weaken him, but I also suspect that he dug his heels in, because he didn't want to be dictated to.

Maybe if he hadn't have been labelled a cheat, and backed into a corner, he may have acted differently?

Manny f*cked up, no two ways about it. He (or Arum IDK) really pushed their luck. To have 50-50 offered to you and then you wanna start crying about tests dates and cut-offs blah blah. And now Floyd is universally recognized as the best fighter of his generation, makes much more money and continues to out-sell Manny by far while Manny's left fighting C-class lightweights after getting flattened by an A-class one.

How's that relevant to what I asked?

Manny will always be the guy that Floyd missed.

It will stay with him forever.

What are these drugs that can be cycled in and out of a mans systems within 10 days that would give him a significant advantage and NOT show up in the pre agreed post fight blood tests?

A lot of PED's, EPO has an 18 hour 'glow' time for testing but it's effects last for up to 8 weeks. Testosterone is similar i believe, not sure on how long it lasts..
