2 million people bought a fight they thought would be exciting and were disappointed with a one aided schooling. That's great for boxingatsch A lot of people complained to me that boxing was "boring" the Monday after. Casual fans want violent and competive matches. Not a boxing 101 class
Bought the ppv, went to a viewing party, saw it at a bar etc..... This fight was marketed as the fight of the century kind of like Wlad-Haye. Both turned out to be one sided technical affairs Casual fans expect something like pac-cotto Technical fights are only entertaining for people whom know boxing. Not casual fans when watch UFC and NFL
I may have saw this as a mismatch from the start but if boxing can keep that momentum it has an excellent future ..I can dislike the match all day but if anything boxers like Danny Garcia got much needed exposure as well.Which is a good thing. I also think these numbers could triple if it were on national Tv.. And to the Ufc fans unless you bring in stone cold steve austin or brock lesner again I highly doubt they would ever get close to a million again! Great for boxing in the long run ..
No one mentioned that fight because casual fans are not interested in two nobodies fighting. Most casual fans ignore then undercard sadly :-( Cotto-Pac was an exciting fight. Blood,knockdowns, and lots of exchanges...
Why the anger? Because Floyd is involved. These fools have nothing going on in their sad little lives other than waiting for that moment when Floyd slips up. Its quite pathetic to spend that much time hating someone you don't even know or have ever met.

This is awesome. Did better then I thought it would, (I didn't think it would break 2) and it wasn't as boring as others are making it out to be, was a good fight for being as one sided as it was. And its awesome that Garcia and Matthysse got to have such a huge audience for their showdown.
