No...everything Pac has done since joining Top Rank has been smoke and mirrors.

I'm convinced Shane was told to exaggerate Pac's power after his fight. Possibly even over react during the fight. Comes out saying/implying Pac's power is devastating then proceeds to say Floyd and Canelo punch the same. The dude is all over with what he says and contradicts with.

Lets be realistic here, all of those positives for Pac would be effectively cut in half and some even completely taken away. All of that output stuff stops once the opponent starts eating flush, accurate counter shots. The fact is we now know Pac does not have the power necessary to break Floyd's body down, not to imply that he was ever a great body puncher. Manny would have the same chance that any of Floyd's other opponents had...a punchers chance.

Even with that, Manny had shown other times before that his chin was susceptible to being broken. He always recovered, but one would have to think, now that JMM turned Pacquiao into Sleepiao, how does Pac handle the inevitable flush and accurate counters from Floyd? My guess is Floyd times Manny lunging in and might just take him out ala Hatton.

After that performance it's hardly surprising Floyd started crying 'Steroids!' Manny looked like an absolute beast in that fight. People didn't give him credit for the Oscar fight, "He was shot and weight-drained". In retrospect Cotto had some things going against him trainer wise but it doesn't take away from what a devastating performance that was. 3 fights before that he was 3 weight classes below and he out 'toughed' the bigger man who was a formidable opponent in his own right.
I'm not sure at what point the Floyd fight was most marketable, after Cotto or after Margarito. He didn't get the KO but there was no doubt he beat the hell out of Margs, he ruined one of the toughest guys the 147 division had ever seen. Mosley got a stoppage but Pac ended his career...

I don't see why, Pac knocked him down, the list of guys who got a KD against Shane is very short. He also didn't say Pac's power was devastating, he said his punching power wasn't the traditional 'heavy-handed' type, it didn't feel devastating when he caught his shots on the gloves but when he connected, especially on a shot that didn't look big, he dazed Shane for several rounds. To me that says Pac's punches are dangerous cause you don't see them, not because of raw power.

He changed his story and never stays consistent. Not surprising since the dude still flat out lies about is use of PEDs and how that all came about. Dude has taken way harder shots than that shot from Pac on the crown of his head. Melodramatic if you ask me.

I think he would. I would love to see the fight even now. Pacquiao is fast and fights an aggressive pressure for 12 rounds and most importantly, has great stamina. With that said, he could simply outwork Floyd to the decision considering the tools he possesses.

On the other side, Mayweather is very hard to hit, uses the shoulder roll very well and that's the problem that the aggressive fighters have to face. Once the opponent gets tired or frustrated, Floyd doesn't have much difficulties winning the fight. That's why there's a possible situation of him being outworked by a hyperactive opponent who just throws non-stop for 12 rounds.

Pacquiao is also a southpaw, so the shoulder roll tactics would be less effective, because if Floyd switches the shoulder defending his head, he wouldn't be able to counter the shots like he does. And if he doesn't switch it, his face is pretty much opened to Pacquiao's left hand.

Also, he wouldn't be able to count on his speed against Manny like he does against other opponents, who are usually much slower than Floyd. I'm sure it's a high danger fight for Floyd even at this point.

It is obvious that Floyd thinks Pacquiao has a good chance to beat him, else Floyd would have fought Pacquiao long time ago.

The speed factor is a very good point. Zab Judah gave Floyd problems. An agin oscar gave Floyd problems, both very quick fighters mind you Oscar had lost 20% of his speed by the time he faced floyd. Not to mention Floyd is very effective at being the aggressor and quickly getting in and out with his movement which is very unpredictable. It really could be a recipe for an upset, however I never thought Pac had a chance and unfortunately it looks like his career may be over.
We have to remember though, there was a good reason Floyd ducked Pac and all of a sudden demanded testing. He was scared and something about Pac made it clear he didn't want to go near him unless he was handed to him on a silver platter.

But I need a month cutoff from tests because I get weak from blood tests. Is that health related or blatant duck?
