It is really crazy to me that people back in 08 really thought Antonio Margarito could have beat floyd.

Floyd would have boxed circles around Antonio Margarito.

Antonio Margarito Face would have been swollen and covered in blood.

Floyd would have went through almost the whole fight untoched.

I have no respect for Antonio Margarito dude was a disgrace to boxing.

beating cintron doesn't give you a free pass at Floyd
since cintron, he 'beat cotto', got done for the wraps, then lost most of his fights after that

Floyd retires in 08 or Floyd fights Margarito or Cotto.

What would you have rather seen happen?

Cotto because it would have been a better fight the Antonio Margarito would have been very one sided

Maybe but it would of been great to see.

Ortiz and Guerrero were no more worthy of a fight with Floyd than Margarito was.

you're using volume punching as a recipe to beat Floyd
I agree in part...but margarito was too slow and too crude

1000+ predictable and slow punches won't land **** on Mayweather. Joshua Clottey looked like Mayweather facing Margarito the first four rounds.

people were jumping on the margarito bandwagon after the cintron win - that's when he interrupted one of Floyd's press conferences to call out Floyd and people on here were calling for that fight...

as I said in an earlier post, a win against cintron isn't enough to take on the best boxer in the world

so what did margarito do to make it happen?

he fought cotto, got done for the handwraps, and then lost more fights than he won after that....

Floyd didn't dodge margarito, margarito couldn't do enough to make it happen
