Floyd Mayweather vs Antonio Margarito ha ha ha

Mayweather did not make 8 million to fight Baldo. Thats the story he came up with to save face after he ducked Margarito and fought Baldo instead.

The only fans around here who preffered the Baldo fight instead of Margarito were *****s who were scared to death Mayweather matchup with Margarito.

No need to argue. Its this simple, at the time Mayweather fought Baldomir, it was'nt Baldomir who was considered the best at 147 lbs, it was Margarito and Paul Williams.

You'll only discredit your knowleadge of the sport back then if you for one second believe Baldomir was a better welter than either Margarito or Williams.

Two possible kryptonite opponents for Mayweather and Mayweather fights Baldomir who did nothing better than Mayweather.

Baldomir was slow and had little punching power. Made to order not only for Mayweather but any elite welter.

Yet marg sounds exactly the same to me...

Cotto outboxed and was ahead before being stopped in the 11th. This is cotto, a strong inside styled boxer puncher.. That style does not match up well with marg so he attempted t boxon the outside and it worked until cotto slowed down and the pressure got to much.

Floyd NOW would dance around margarito it would honestly be like the baldo fight.
Marg has no one punch power, he wears you down with relentless pressure, floyd has stamina for days and is smart enough to tie marg up on the inside if he ever gotcaught or godforbid tired... Lets also add that the version that would fight marg is the marquez fight or hatton fight floyd or the baldo fight... Much slicker, faster and used more footwork because he had better stamina ...

Anyone who thinks any version of marg would trouble floyd is seriously wrong...floyd had trouble mostly with boxers who worked well behind there jab delahoya or zab

Explain how Margarito or Williams were considered better Welters. When Mayweather choose Baldomir the three careers were going as following.
Williams had exactly zero quality wins unless you consider Margarito then he had only one ok win.
Margarito had losses to Santos and Williams and between that a few wins over bums.
Baodomir went on a 8 year unbeaten streak with wins over the Undisputed Champ in Judah.
The only one with a case to be #1 at the time is Baldomir and in a all time since Baldomir has been in with better fighters then both Williams and Margarito.
