I think this would be a terrific fight, with the winner facing Lee Selby. They're both Wazza fighters and both have a big fanbase.

    It makes sense surely.:boxx

I agree, that'd be a great fight! Liam Walsh is fast becoming one of my favorite domestic fighters, love his fighting style and Smith looked great against Buckland.

Probably almost nailed on to happen at some point at the end of the year or early next year.

It won't happen this year. Smith has to face gary sykes first (which is a tought fight in it self) but walsh is right up their to face the winner. Lots of 50-50 fights at super feather at the moment

    British title shot?

He was lined up for a shot at the world title at a higher weight, and has beaten Harrison id pick him to beat stephen smith handidly

The only reason he was inline for a shot at burns was that he was hand picked as a volentary defence as they had the same promoter at the time. I'm guessing after sykes v smith, walsh will b made mandatory for the british title. Unless they miss out the british cause he now holds some version of a minor world title with a high ranking after beating murray.

This would be a great fight but I think Swifty will have too much finesse for Walsh

Yeah but he holds the, I think its the wbo european title at lightweight that's how it wud hav been passed by the board as a volentary defence by burns I think that title gave walsh a top 20 ranking.

Looking at the way Swifty handled Buckland in his last fight, I would have him beating any British Super-Feather. Onwards and upwards for him now hopefully.
