Is it possible that David Haye faked his cut with make-up?

Instead of saying "why would Haye do this?", look at what we KNOW he has done in the past. Asking whether the cut may be self inflicted is not as stupid as refusing to even entertain the thought that it may have been given his form for lying and making up injuries.

This bull**** about Fury being unable to beat him is getting old also, if it wasn't a possibilty why was the **** sparring right up to Friday? Why risk that for an absolute pushover? Those refusing to see that there is a possibilty that Haye's cut is not as straight forward as it looks are the ****ing idiots and are exactly the kind of fans Haye banks on to jump to his defense time after time.

I'm not a fan of Haye, I'm neutral on him.

Name fighters that haven't sparred on the last week up to the fight.

No that's the wrong question as this is not an isolated incident. How about you list the fighters who pull out of fights a week before schedule due to a cut sustained in sparring in preparation for a walkover of a fight against a no hoper, and let's see how many of these fighters have a history of faking injuries and pulling out of fights.

These things seem to happen to Haye too often...

I think one of the biggest smoke signals is Adam Booth deleting his twitter account immediately after the news broke.

This behaviour necessarily matches the behaviour profile of duplicity.

If you don't want to or cannot make a work or social engagement and you are forced into lying to placate the people you are letting down ... If you are not an adept and accomplished liar, comfortable with fielding multiple questions with further lies (which thankfully most people are not!) ... You leave the bare minimum of information normally via text, email of catching the person deliberately on voicemail ... And then become uncontactable, until the dust settles.

Booth deleting his Twitter account is not coincidence :good

    The whole thing STINKS.

    Excellent post.

It's good to see that some people are not so easily fooled by con men like Haye and Booth.

Neither of the fights you mention were lucrative for Haye. The first with Wlad Hayes purse was being paid by Setanta who everyone knew were going bust so in effect Haye would have fought Wlad for nothing as K2 insisted that Wlad keep all the tv money and gate receipts.

Pulling out of the Vitali fight was another no brainer as he was going to be paid a pittance and in the event of winning the fight he was tied to K2 and would have made no serious money for four fights after.

Fighting Valuev was a lucrative fight for Haye hence why he fought him and made serious money and put himself in a better bargaining position when he renegotiated with K2 to fight Wlad.

    This is the key question.

I am as certain as I can be Haye pulling out was premeditated and not accidental.

If I had the time, I could break down all of the things that don't add up just like Booth twitter account above. There are sooo many litte things that don't fit, it seems patently obvious it is not on the level.

Less clear is the reason why.

Personally I believe it is either:

    - Haye has a better offer on the table (most likely Vitali)
    - He was off the pace in sparring and clearly, visibly in his worst shape as a Heavyweight and felt underprepared and needs more time.
    - He simply didn't fancy it as the crunch came and made a calculated move to 'postpone' with the hope the hotheaded Fury clan would move on.

If it was the latter point, that has already backfired, as after behaving as expected the Fury's have taken a more considered approach and called Haye and Booth's bluff.

They will now have to reschedule and re motivate/find their mojo. Or pay some hefty compensation.

It's a bit of a mess tbh

After faking injuries against Wladimir & Charr for more lucritive fights, this time he got punished with a real one.

Haye, mate. Retire already (and this time stay retired).

    Cheers.

There's been something a bit off with this fight from the start. It just wasn't being promoted anywhere near hard enough for a PPV fight with two bordering top level British fighters.

Haye shouldn't have faked his previous injuries (vs. Wlad and Charr), then he wouldn't look like a complete idiot now.
