    You're clueless!

You're doing nothing but fabricating!

Judah losing to Baldomir? Why is Margarito replacing anyone?

Its the first I hear that Margarito turned down a Mayweather fight! :nut

Judah was'nt going to fight Mayweather in a few weeks after the Baldomir fight.

Zab is fighthing Mayweather 3 months after he lost to Baldomir.
Thats fight, Mayweather went on ahead and faced Zab although he lost clearly to a mollasses slow non punching Carlos Baldomir.

You're telling us that Margarito on 3 months notice turned down a Mayweather fight????:nut:nut:!:

    Fabrication! :verysad

After losing to Baldomir, Mayweather goes on ahead and takes on two safe fights, mental midget Judah and then Mayweather decides to go on ahead and face Baldomir who had just knocked out a shot to pieces Arturo Gatti, a fighter who even in his prime was nowhere close to great.

In the meantime Margarito was beating the likes of Cintron and Clottey!

Even after Margarito lost a close decision to Paul Williams who towered over him, he did'nt lose much stock as the fight was competitive all the way through.

It is around the time that Paul Williams decisioned Margarito that Floyd Mayweather retired.
He had just beat Hatton, and he did'nt want to face either Willaims or Margarito at 147 lbs.

He did not have the foot speed to catch floyd and Floyd has a gas tank that is always on full he does not get tired and you he would have walked through floyds punches Floyd would have been landing clean shots. All night Margs face would have been cut to pieces and swelled up bad. Marg struggled with fighters that have speed And stop comparing floyd to cotto and another Marg would have no plaster in this fight. Dude was a disgrace you respect a MF that was a pure cheater.

Explain to me how Margo was going to beat Floyd....someone just explain how Margarito...who isnt a one punch KO artist....slow as molasses....how in the hell does he beat Floyd...i mean...i cant think of any way he beats Floyd...im being honest.

That fight would be so boring it wouldnt even be funny....it be a turtle chasing a rabbit....as much as you guys knock him for being boring....this fight excites you? It would be the biggest snoozefest since Baldo!

Explain to me how a fighter like Vernon Forrest who beat a prime Shane Mosley loses to Ricardo Mayorga????

Its a style issue my friend. Ricardo Mayorga brought it like no other fighter Forrest had ever faced and he could'nt handle that type of pressure being put on him by a fighter that could take a great shot.

    /Thread! :deal

That fight has nothing to do wtih this proposed match up. Vernon as great as he was...is not Floyd(however a Vernon/Floyd fight...would be great)

What about Margarito's style is so complicated for a fighter like Floyd who im sure you know is great and smart in the ring.

He can't catch Floyd...and Floyd has never had stamina issues nor did he shy away from making a fight a snoozefest....so how does Margo beat him...matter fact forget about beating him...how does he even make it intresting.

Listen i get that upsets can happen i really do...but if we acknowledge that we also need to acknowledge MISMATCHES!!!

We can't answer that question because we'll never know due to Floyd ducking him

Margarito beat Cintron, Martinez, Cotto......how the **** did he do it he's so slow and not nearly as skilled.
.....and dont give me this **** about plaster. Mayweather ducked Margarito and he had no way of knowing whether he used plaster or not.
Its the fighter he saw beating up those I mentioned that drove Mayweathe out of the way of Margarito.
Whether Margarito was loading his wraps during that time is irrelevant as nobody knew about it.

    My Forrest/Mayorga parrellel holds water.
Forrest was an accomplished amatuer with a fine boxing pedigree and the slower Mayorga took him apart with outright pressue, ferociousness, and being able to take a shot.
Same type of scenario that Margarito could use against Mayweather.

Listen up here clowns, and I'm not just talking to you MJG.......
I'm not saying Margarito beats Mayweather, I'm saying his style very possibly troubles a style like Mayweather.

Mayweather is a thinker and they work best when they have that little time to think.
You come at a thinking skill fighter with pure unadulterated pressure and you can take a shot to boot, then you're giving yourself a better chance to be able to beat him.

When analyzing Mayweather-Canelo, I said Canelo would have to apply more pressure than he's accustomed to if he were to have a realistic chance to beat Mayweather.
Canelo did'nt do that on a consistent basis. The moments he did, he had better sucess.
You dont box with a master boxer, you bring the pressure and use assets in your arsenal that benefit you, like size, strenghth, punching power, etc.......
If you're nowhere as skilled and you're bigger, stronger, punch harder, and take a great shot to boot, then you ****ing bring it, and thats the chance Margarito had.

1000 percent fact that Margarito would have brung it to Mayweather or died trying, not something any other opponent but Ricky Hatton ever did to Mayweather and Hatton is'nt as big, strong, or take anywhere near a good a shot as Antonio Margarito!
    Savy? Capeche?;)

Mayorga at that time is way better than Margo...way better

Your reaching.....i know you've watched enough of Floyd to know Margarito stood absolutely no chance....i mean even if he got there is punches were slow and Floyd would see every last one of them it would be so boring as he danced all over the ring and pot shotted Margo who's defense is next to nil i mean jesus.....

all the ducking stuff ya'll have at it....but the fight itself a blind man can pick that winner....Hatton also had fast feet and could close fast...Margo absolutely does not have fast anything. Canelo is better than Margo....Margo doesnt even jab comming in he just stalks until he gets close enough bangs away you tire and thats when he really gets you...but Floyd doesnt tire...if Floyd had stamina issues then i'd be game....but he has excellent stamina and will not be there for Margo....you honestly dont see that?

again Floyd always drops fighters output and AGAIN...Floyd would not be there ever for Margo to do anything noteworthy.

Floyd also doesnt OPEN up...he would pot shot this man to death as he stalked ever so slowly.....i mean

again there are upsets yes but there are MISMATCHES too....this is one

Margo's "style" is not nothing Floyd hasnt seen...come on now

    Exellent post!

One of the things Margarito did when he was getting outboxed was follow you around and keep throwing punches at the most odd angles.
Its those odd angle shots that trouble exellent tactician types like Mayweather.
Manny Pacquiao, Aaron Pryor, these guys threw shots off the wrong foot and had mustard behind those shots.
These types of fighters are hell for exellent boxers who have great anticipation skills against conventional fighters, but not necessarily zany type of fighters who punch from wierd angles at any distance.

Mayweather is'nt stupid, I'm sure he saw this and decided to just stay away.
Likely part of the reason why Mayweather was'nt so eager to fight Pacquiao as well.

I just posted about Mayorga vs Forrest. Forrest being the straight by the book pure boxer, tall with a sizeable reach. Its the zany punch from all angles Mayorga that he could'nt size up well against.

Unconventional things fighters do factor in! :deal
