How many HOF opponents do each of these fighters have on their resume?

I feel like counting each of their HOF opponents would be a fair way to discuss & compare resumes

 

Add Mosley to that list he has an impressive list of opponents aswell.
(Win/lose)

 

and losses to an HOF should not be credited.

(so Calzaghe should not count for Jones or Hopkins, along with all HOFs that Oscar lost to)

 

Roy beat prime versions of Hopkins and toney

That alone puts him alongside Robinson and greb

No other middleweight in history could have beaten those two and roy dismantled them

Floyd is talented enough, but no prime Williams= very big duck this mayweather

 

was thinking the same thing but i don't think he's in the tier of guys I listed. I don't know Hearns, Hagler, SRL and Durans resume like that but for the others. Actually I think I will add cotto cause he has a pretty great resume for not jumping around to a lot of divisions.

I think you should still get credited for a HOF loss. It takes guts to stand in there with someone thats a potential HOF'er. Obviously when comparing one fighter vs another it should be noted who you lost to and who you beat.

But just to think about how many HOF'ers someone fought against I think wins and losses should be accounted for.

the roy vs bhop thing is always interesting to me because i feel like an argument can be made for bhop still being green. Even though he was an older fighter he definitely hadn't hit his stride as a fighter yet.

 

Hopkins didn't lose another fight for ten yrs after Jones so that theory goes out the window !!

 

Manny Pacquiao is on a losing streak but his record is quite impressive...

I don't agree. if we count losses, then we would have in the list hatton (he fought 4 HOFs (pac, floyd, zoo, castillo but losing to two) or casamayor (he also fought 4 - bradley, marquez, corrales, and castillo, but losing to 3)

 

For the sake of measuring achievement by using resumes, it makes no sense to include losses as they are not an achievement. You think it's some kind of moral achievement to show "guts" (lol) but it is no boxing achievement.

Only wins count, or Zab Judah would have the best resume out there.

 

hatton is a HOF'er but he's not on the same level of boxing ability as the guys on the original list
