Horrible comparison and here's why. Forrest lost to Mayorga because he fought one of the dumbest fights in recent memory. He chose to go to war with a slugger instead of boxing him. Do you honestly think a defensive master like PBF would choose to go toe to toe with Margo?:rofl:lol: He wouldn't he would box, stick and move. Forrest fought a dumb fight PBF wouldn't fight a dumb fight against Margo that's the difference along with PBF being light years more skilled and complete than Forrest as well.

Margarito fight was never going to happen. Ever. Neither was Cotto (until he left TR).

If Floyd fought Margarito you'd be saying he ducked the unified WW Champ Baldomir for a WBO level bum.:hi:

you are delirious if you think Oscar ducked that trash...

    Be for real.

If Tony were good enough to beat Floyd he would have thrown Shane over the top rope..instead of getting his as.s whipped and KTFO.:deal

Before you go claiming that was a good post, do your own research. Mayweather - Judah had an agreement and the fight went on even after Judah lost to Baldomir. Many thought Judah had a chance because of his natural gifts. After that talk between Marg/Baldomir started. The offer was 8 million to fight either one. Maywetaher choose the recognized champion which was Baldomir.

Mayweather just paid a good sum of money to get out of his TR contract, why on earth would he sign to fight a TR fighter and give even more money to that snake at the time.

Floyd wanted a Oscar fight and a gurantee on a cotto fight. Arum said he wasn't worth it. Mayweather choose to leave and make a hell of a lot more money in doing so.

If Marg wanted the fight all he had to do was continue winning and leave Arum. No mistake as soon as Cotto left TR the fight got done. Same thing when Floyd left TR a fight with Oscar got done.

Bob Arum is bad for business.

And if Timmy is smart he will realize whats good for business and thats leaving TR first chance he gets. He beats JMM there is a FLoyd fight waiting.

Oscar against the winner of Cotto/Margarito was being lined up for the end of 2008. Margarito won and Oscar decided it would be better to fight Pacquiao.

How long have you been an uneducated fan?

When DLH signed to fight Manny Pacquiao, he was criticized by fans and all over the media for cherry picking Manny Pacquiao instead of fighting Margarito freash out of brutalizing Miguel Cotto.
Margarito at the time was calling out DLH all over the media and DLH signed to fight Pacquiao who even Pacquiao fans thought DLH was to big and would destroy Pacquiao.

It does'nt matter what Pacquiao did to DLH, beforehand fans and media wanted DLH to fight Margarito, not Pacquiao.
That my freind is called a duck!

Btw, in case you did'nt know, Margarito is an ex-DLH sparring partner.
Back in the day it was reported Margarito was let go because he was to tough for DLH.
Apparently Margarito did'nt like sparring nice!

    How so?
As soon as Mayweather stopped Hatton, the logical opponents in line next for Mayweather were Margarito or Williams.

    Mayweather retired!!!!:deal

Margarito was the #1 welterweight on the planet at the time dumb a s s.

look at baldomirs undefeated 7 year "streak" all bums in Argentina with losing records (nice try)
ESPN was calling for Floyd to fight Margarito and so was HBO
so was the boxing world..... but fighting a guy with 9 losses who had 1 reconizable name on his record which was Judah who had been getting beat more often than he was winning.... selective memory you have

Marg was with TR, rule it out.

Mayweather fought Hatton in December, Williams had the Quintana fight lined up for February, we know what happened in that fight. That killed any chance of Floyd fighting Williams in the foreseeable future.

There were negotiations for ODLH and FLoyd rematch.

Your right Floyd retired and Manny went on to cash out on the ODLH fight and become a huge crossover star.

He also was the undisputed WW champion of the world. That's not negotiable.

What don't some of you understand that under no circumstances was FLoyd and Arum going to do business.
